Description
Basically to see how well i can do this.I think it came out ALRIGHT, but not good.
Please, good critique. Things I can do to improve it and any good resources to look at.

I think the brown one is better. The text seems to jump out more, it's clearer to read. Everything seems a bit cramped though, maybe exptending the vertical spaces between sections. It might just be me but I think that the titles looked cramped in the soze of boxes they're in, not enough space above/below. Pretty clean design overall.

i dont like some of the blues used on the the blue one, but i think the brown is very nice

The colors are little too dark, we can not see some tittles. The button's font can be stronger. I like for example handelGothic font in web design. Just an idea. The box's Height can be more thin. Plus, you can give a different but similar color for news tittle.

i like the brown one, but to get more contrast use other types of brown for the fonts and things, the blue one is ugly..

i liked the brown a lot more than the blue. one of the blues especially is way too bright. where the tech-ish cutout rectangle is... that blue does not blend.

It is nice, but I am not really feeling the brown kinda seems to bright if you know what I mean, cant really see the small 2d details you are adding. I dont really like the gradient on the top above the nav. The world too, just seems like a space filler, imo it could do without. One more thing is that the rectangle about ~septic the borders kind of go in and out, imo it would be better if they stayed the same width. Do you know what I mean? Overall its nice, a few fix ups and it will look very smooth, especially as hendi suggested a deep blue would look good,

Well see the light brown borders, between the main content and the left side, and the bottom of septics content box they go inward, and then where the newsletter is they go out again, not a big deal, but it caught my eye, and always does on my designs. Better?

thats really sexy. maybe you could add a small inverted gradient in the empty space at the bottom. I'm working on my layout skills too. I really like this.
