What got my attention is what got you the DD; the incredible atmosphere in this eye-catching piece. I'll admit I generally don't think too highly of photography thanks to have seen too many pointless still-lives, needlessly turned black-and-white with the amateur-obligatory naked woman thrown in simply because the person behind the camera couldn't find/make something worth taking a picture of, but it's moments like this why I don't dismiss that there is a form of art to be found in it; when the pictures are of moments that more capture you than you them.
I find myself half-expecting there to be a sign somewhere along the way that reads; Welcome! To The Silent Hill Ski Resort. Enjoy Your Stay...

What is this contraption? lol when I saw the tinier photo I thought ziplining. But now it looks like some sort of ride? Well, whatever it is, neat job! I like the foggy look.

This is a lovely image. The streaky appearance and the colours are just lovely to create a nostalgic mood. There is something class and oddly spooky about this image. Great shot and congrats on the DD.

We have several of those old-school chair lifts around. The nearest one on the other side of the town takes you up almost 2/3rds of one of the most popular mountains. It's a single-seat one so you sit there all by yourself. It takes about 35-40 minutes to reach the upper station. Some people are a bit scared by the old plastic seats and the flimsy "safety" bar but I find the ride very relaxing. Silently floating up the mountain through the forest is very
