Sure, autism can give people impulses and such, but its only excuse up to a point. If a person with autism seriously harasses or hurts another human being they still need to be held accountable. A few of my female friends (along with a few other girls at the campus) were harassed (bordering on sexual harassment even) by a guy with autism, no one would do anything simply because he had autism so eventually I just had to do it myself; I gave him multiple warnings to back the fuck off and it took me knocking him on his ass after about the 20th warning before he got the message. At that point I didn't give a shit what was wrong with him other than the fact he was being a sleazy douche harassing younger girls. Sure, we need to be mindful when dealing with someone with a mental condition, no doubt about that, and said person should a given the appropriate supervision/treatment/care for that condition, but its no excuse to harass others and action needs to be taken to prevent them from doing that. In my case no one would do anything, and this guy cause quite a few problems other than that mainly because he wasn't supervised when he really should've been, and aside from the action I took there was no repercussions for anything he did.

Um, really poor social skills? People treat me like an idiot because I don't always understand what people are trying to tell me or point-of-view. I wish people would just explain things to me rather than yelling or making fun of me.
