Description

for the winds and waves prompt for the event!

I was inspired in part by the storm scene from guardians of ga'hoole and I think I want to revisit that inspiration with a continuation of what's pictured here, cropped close and with the rain.
but for now I'm very happy with this and I'm proud of how it came out!
I had the contrast between the dark grey blues and nik's vibrant warm elemental in mind but partway through I remembered that nik became lost while crossing the sea when a blizzard surprised her. so here, maybe she's facing that old trauma, processing by jumping into it. things have changed now. her new wings can never break.
