Description
They're really just referred to as Squadron in Megaforce and in the comics. Supposedly they were supposed to be Star Force originally. I've always preferred to split the difference between the names, hence Power Rangers Star Squadron.

Unlike their Sentai counterparts, they have a female Red Ranger, a female (presenting) Blue Ranger, and a unique Black Ranger. I always liked to think the White Ranger was originally meant to join them, but those powers and the Thunderzords were repurposed by Alpha and Zordon for the Mighty Morphin team.
