Calina invites everyone, along with a newcomer to her sleepover, but Pegasus is pretty suspicious about what move the newcomer is gonna do.

Calina: Aww, it's okay. You didn't know any better, and you're just getting your sillies out. [giggles]
Drago: [babbles]

Calina: What's wrong? You're acting like there's some mysterious and scary presence lurking in the shadows directly behind me.

Rainbow Sparkle: Uh, Rainbow Sparkle. I, um, just got into town. And now I'm gonna leave! Bye!
Calina: Wait, wait! I remember when I was new in town! Where ya going?! Do you want me to show you around?
Rainbow Sparkle: Uh... I...

Calina: Aw, don't mind him. He's probably just excited to see another sorcery like me— [gasps] Wait a minute! Sorceries! You! Me! Us! We can be... [gasps] Friends! Oops! Sorry. I've been told my hugs can be pretty heavy-duty.

Calina: This is incredible! I can't believe I've made a new friend! Poof! Just like that! I mean, I've known a lot of sorceries, but I dunno, something about you feels... different.
Rainbow Sparkle: It does?
Calina: Mm-hmm. It must be... because you're my first official unicorn friend here in Dallas, Texas!
Rainbow Sparkle: Yes! That must be it!
Calina: Yes! This is such perfect timing because I have been missing Bridlewood so much lately! The trees! The teas! Even the jinxies! I bet we could spend hours bonding over Bridlewood experiences, having both grown up as sorceries, right?

Calina: [gasps] We'll celebrate us meeting with a... traditional sorcery sleepover!
Rainbow Sparkle: What's that?
Calina: Uh, it's the sorcery tradition for whenever you make a very special, new best friend. You've never heard of it?
Rainbow Sparkle: Oh! Yes! Of course! I thought you said "weepover"! Which is when you, like, cry over not having any lunch! Like me! Which is why I thought of it just now! I'm really hungry! [exhales]
Calina: So, it's official! You're gonna sleepover at the Rocket Room [singsong] toniiiight!
Rainbow Sparkle: Oh, uh, tonight? But I can't really— And there's something I have to—
Calina: I'm gonna have snacks! And streamers! And tea lights for ambiance! And those hay pillows over there! Okay, gotta go get ready! See you later, Rainbow!
Drago: [growling]
Rainbow Sparkle: So... I get to go to the party?
Mirabel: Oh, Rainbow, you're going to party it up, all right. You're going to party all night until you steal Mei's precious magic lantern.
Rainbow Sparkle: I'm not really sure that's how parties work. I've never been to one. But you're the expert! [nervous laugh]

Rainbow Sparkle: Rocket Room.

Calina: And she has magic just like me! And color hands just like me! [laughs] And a face! Just like me.
Mei Lee: [laughs] She sounds like a unique sorceress.
Pegasus: And you said Drago was growling at her?

Drago: [babbling]

Calina: Ahh, you know. Drago growls at everyone and every twig, bug, and critter!

Sam: Speaking of, it's time to get this little guy back to the station and start his bedtime routine.

Calina: [gasps] That's the time?! I've gotta get moving! There's so many great treats and traditions to get ready! This is gonna be the best sleepover anybosy's ever been to in all of Sacramento! I mean, Dallas! I mean, Earth!
Pegatrix: Well, I thought my birthday party last year was pretty epic, but guess the bar's always rising.
Calina: [imitates trumpet] Roll out the yarn balls! Whoop, whoop! String up the tea lights!
Pegasus: Aah!
[bird chirps]
Calina: Hang lots of colorful scarves for... ambiance!

Calina: Welcome to the Rocket Room, Rainbow... Rainbow, uh... [whispering] What's your last name?
Rainbow Sparkle: Ah, uh... Spark!

Rainbow Sparkle: [nervous laugh] Spark, um... Sparkle? Uh, Sparkle!
Calina: Welcome, Rainbow Sparkle, to the best sorcery sleepover of your life!
Mei Lee: So nice to finally meet you, Rainbow. Calina’s told us—
Rainbow Sparkle: Told you?! Told you what?! [gasps]
Pegasus: When did you say you got into Dallas, Texas?
Rainbow Sparkle: Oh, I didn't—
Pegasus: In town just for a visit? Or staying permanently?
Calina: Pegasus. Buddy, you're going it up the wrong hill here. You don't need to "detective" her. Rainbow's our friend. Ooh! We're already way behind schedule! Come on, "sorceries"! [giggles]

Pegasus: Hmm...
Mei Lee: [giggling]

Calina: The rules of "Even or Odd Dare" go... [deep breath, quickly] If a player spins the wheel and lands on an odd number, then they dare someone to do something fun! But if they land on an even number, they dare someone to do something funny, and if their fun is too funky or funky too fun, they go back and do it all over again!

Pegatrix: That makes total sense.
Calina: [gasps]
[smack!]

Mei Lee and Pegasus: [gasp]
Calina: Whoops! Explaining the rules took too long! We've gotta move on, party!

Calina: The art of reading has been in the Zhao family for generations! It all started with Great-Great Auntie Ying.
Rainbow Sparkle: [gulps, gasps] Ooh! So interesting!
Calina: Tea time!

Rainbow Sparkle: ...that I say every time I eat it 'cause I eat it all the time! Or did when I lived in Sacramento all my life! [crunching, nervous laugh]
Calina: Oooh! "Rainbow Hill"! A sorcery sleepover classic! But we only have three minutes to move through! Let's go! [humming] Aha!
Movie Sorcery: Don't you see, Salty? I'm just a sorcerer, standing in front of another sorcerer, asking him to share with her!
Calina: [swoons] So romantic.
Mei Lee: Say, Calina, you think we can slow down a bit?
Pegatrix: Yeah, I've barely made a dent in my chocolate popcorn.
Rainbow Sparkle: I'll help you finish it!
Calina: [gasps] Slow down?!
Rainbow Sparkle: Aah!

Calina: If anything, we need to speed up! If we don't do everything, it's jinxie!
Rainbow Sparkle: What's jinxie?
Calina: [laughing] You are so funny!
Pegasus: Don't you think it's a little weird Rainbow's just as lost as us? She claims to have grown up in Sacramento, but it's as if she's never even been there, Sis. Sis?!
Mei Lee: What's next, Calina?
Pegatrix: [reading] "Ask an Amethyst". What's that?
Calina: You mean having conversations with your crystals is just a sorcery thing? Whoa. [scoffs] Can you believe that, Rainbow?
Rainbow Sparkle: [gulps] Uh, totally! It's, um... what you said! So, uh, hmm, where's that little dragon from earlier? Shouldn't he be enjoying the party as well?
Pegatrix: Oh, Drago? Sam is limiting the overnight dragon-sitting until he gets the hang of his dragonfire.
Rainbow Sparkle: "Dragonfire"? Is that magical? Like your personalities?
Mei Lee: It's definitely something. We're not sure what yet.
Pegatrix: It can transform all sorts of stuff, though! Even personalities! Just ask Mei about the "personality-switch"! [giggles]
Mei Lee: Oh! [nervous laugh]
Rainbow Sparkle: Hmm...
Calina: [clears throat] And now, for my favorite part— Well, next to my other favorite part and my other, other favorite... [deep breath] It's the sleepover sing-along!
[low, echoing note]
Calina: We sing this all the time back in Bridlewood. Even foals know it.
Pegasus: Well then, why don't you and Rainbow Sparkle do it as a duet? Teach us together.
Calina: [gasps] Brilliant idea! Oh! We'll jump into the chorus together, then you take the verse! [clears throat]

Mei Lee: Or maybe we can play another game together.
Pegatrix: Oh! What about that unicorn tradition you mentioned where we all balance yarn balls on our heads and count to the highest number we can think of?
Rainbow Sparkle: Hmmm... Where is that lantern? Ooh! I can use this! Mirabel? Mirabel! Oh, right. This thing doesn't work inside the Rocket Room. [grunts]

Rainbow Sparkle: Mirabel, I'm in! But no lantern. What do I do next?
Mirabel: [groans] THINK, Rainbow! There's got to be some way up to that glass room at the top! It'll be there with the pris-beam! Don't come back without it! Then their power is ours! [laughs evilly]
Rainbow Sparkle: [laughs evilly]
Mirabel: Oh. Better, Rainbow. But it's a marathon, not a sprint. Don't be a show-off.

Rainbow Sparkle: Why isn't it working?
[beeping]
[alarm blaring]
Rainbow Sparkle: Aah! No! Shh! Shh-shh-shh! They'll find out—!
Pegasus: Find what out?
Rainbow Sparkle: That, uh, I can't figure out this keypad to go up to the washroom! [nervous laugh] So embarrassing.
Pegasus: You were trying to find the washroom in the elevator?
Rainbow Sparkle: No, but I thought— Well, I thought I'd go look at the view first! It's a fun Sacramento tradition, which is probably why you didn't know about it! [nervous laugh]
Pegasus: First Sacramento tradition I totally get! I love awesome views! Maybe I'll take you up there to look some other time. But the washroom is down there.
Rainbow Sparkle: Heh... Thanks. Um, I'll be sure to take you up on that.
Pegasus: Hmm...
Calina: [sighs] Well, that was fun, but I guess it's over now. Good night, everypony.
Mei Lee: I'm not that sleepy. Are you, Pipp?
Pegatrix: Oh! Uh, no, no! I'm... [yawning] ...I'm really fired up for more... fun, actually.
Mei Lee: [gasps] Let's tell stories!
Calina: Mei! How did you know we do that at a sorcery sleepover?!
Mei Lee: That's one tradition we do here, too.
Calina: Whoo!
Mei Lee: This is the true story of the Guardians of Happiness and the beginning of the world we called; earth...
Pegatrix: [sighs] I loooove this story. [claps]
Mei Lee: Once upon a time, there was a very special sorcerer [narrating] A bright sorcery, as bright as the sun named Leonardo, or Leo for short. One day, he was summoned by the princess named Princess Sunlight for an assignment: to learn about happiness! He moved to Los Angeles and met humans, sorceries and flyers who became his best friends! Together, they taught the power of happiness and how to live in unity to everyone in the world. But then one day, a magical accident happened! [narrating] A human girl got hurt by a hooded sorceress! Everyone started fighting with each other! Leonardo, now the rocketship king, wanting to protect his kingdom and all in it, decided to put all magic into three crystals before it got out of hand. After that, humans only felt safe with other humans. Sorceries with Sorceries. And Flyers of a feather flock together. They gone as far as they could with their crystals, settling in what would become NYC, Sacramento, and Dallas Texas. And that's where they lived forever until now.
Rainbow Sparkle: Wait! But that is not the true story at all!
Mei Lee: Yes, it is. We pieced together the crystal part ourselves. Literally.
Pegasus: Why? What have you heard, Rainbow?
Rainbow Sparkle: You were right about magic being in the world at the beginning. [narrating] But most of it came from another sorceress, who wasn't a sorceress at all, but a rocketship! Her magic was too powerful. They were jealous of her ability and wanted it all for themselves. So King Leonardo stole all the magic from the queen and hid it away somehow. Then King Leonardo put an enchanted invisi-bubble around the world so the powerful rocketship queen could never find the magic or the kingdom again. The queen was left alone, with only a shadow left of her strength and power. All while the others created towns built with her stolen magic!
Pegatrix: What?! That's the true version?
Pegasus: [claps] Who told you that?
Rainbow Sparkle: Ah! Uh, nobody! Uh, you know, I-I may have made some of it up. [nervous laugh]
Calina: "True", "made-up", what difference does it make? Each story was great! Especially that rocketship queen part. [gasps] So creative! So epic! Got any more?
Mei Lee: Yeah.
Pegatrix: So is this like an old Sacramento fairy tale or...?
Calina: I've never heard it, but maybe that's just my own corner of the community. Where did you say you grew up exactly, Rainbow?
Pegasus: Yeah, where did you grow up?
Rainbow Sparkle: Uh, nowhere! And nobody! And I... probably gotta get going to get back right about now! Bye!
Calina: Wait, Rainbow! You can't leave! This party is all just for... you.
Pegasus: Hey, I didn't mean anything by all my questions. I was just trying to get to the bottom of things and figure out the real truth.
Calina: Heh. The truth? You wanna know the truth? My first real sleepover in Dallas has been a complete and total jinx-a-thon!
[beat]
Calina: That means "failure". Party's over, team.
Mei Lee: But we don't have to start cleaning just yet, Calina. I know this didn't go as you planned, but the night is still young.
Pegatrix: Yeah! We can still have more fun!
Calina: [sighs] That's really sweet of you all to say, but it isn't just Rainbow leaving. This isn't a real celebratory sleepover without being in Sacramento, anyway. I just wish I could... lay on the ground and stare up at the big branches of Redwood trees rustling above me. It's what I always did when I felt... un-sparkly. I mean, I love living in the city with all you. But sometimes I miss my sorcery stuff so much. And I thought having Rainbow Sparkle here would help.
Mei Lee: So, what exactly do you miss about Sacramento? Be specific.
Calina: Do you reeeeally wanna hear? Are you suuuure? The list is longer than the lyrics to my unicorn sleepover sing-along song.
Pegasus: Ohhhh... Then I'm gonna have to get comfortable.
Mei Lee: [chuckles] Tell us everything, even if it takes all night and into the next day.
Calina: Well... [quickly] I miss the jinxie dances! Horseshoe games! Sparkle seasons with hot chili peppermint honeysuckle iced teas! The critter contests! The bunnies! The wishing well! The bongo beat poetry! Learning how to hold my breath for long stretches so we can excitedly exclaim long lists like this very one that I'm exclaiming now! [deep breath]
Rainbow Sparkle: [whimpering] I have to go! I have to get out of here! I've already said too much! But I can't just leave! Not without that lantern! But if I go back, they'll ask me more questions and expose my lies! Unless I sneak past them and bypass the elevator with somebody else's hand! But whose? And how?! [panicked breathing] Is it too late to tell them that I was just kidding?! [nervous laugh] Whew!
Calina: Oh! Fuzzy pops in the summer! Funky horn fashions in the fall! Lighting the stones on each day of the Christmas holidays! [continues under]
Mei Lee: Pssst! Pegasus! Can you distract her while we redecorate a little?
Pegasus: Sure, but I don't think my help is gonna be necessary.
Mei Lee: Come on. It's time to bring a little bit of Sacramento to the Rocket Room.
Calina: ...Glow horn hats! Staring at the sky crystals shooting across a shimmering, starry sky! Crunchy corn cakes! Sweet, salty strudel! Knitting scarves for armadillos in the winter!
Mei Lee: Okay, stop listing things, Calina. Because one... two... Surprise!
Calina: (gasps) What... is all this stuff?!
Mei Lee: It's all the stuff you said you missed from Sacramento! Give or take a couple strudels.
Pegatrix: Now you can lay down and look up at the branches, just like home.
Calina: I-I can't believe it. You guys did all of this just as I was talking?!
Pegasus: Well, to be fair, you had a lot to say.
Calina: Oh, this is some pretty impressive unicycling, too! Huh! Maybe you all have a bit of socery in you, after all. [gasps] Hey, Rainbow Sparkle! You're back!
Rainbow Sparkle: Uh, yeah. I-I was hungry, so I thought, maybe I'll go out to the garden and harvest some strawberries? That I ate all myself, which is why I don't have any right now! [nervous laugh]
Calina: Oh, I'm just so glad you're back! I hope you know how welcome you are here. Look! Doesn't it remind you so much of our sweet little hometown?
Rainbow Sparkle: Uh, yes! It's like I'm transported back in time. It's actually... pretty incredible.
Calina: [laughs, imitates trumpet] Hear, hear! I, Calina Zhao from Sacramento, hereby start the sorcery sleepover ceremonies again!

And they told me all about dragonfire and how it changes personalities! Also, we did reading and ate popcorn and did decorating and—
Mirabel: Hold on. Misty. "Decorating"? "Popcorn"? And "Reading"?! Did you have FUN with these kids?!
Rainbow Sparkle: No, no, of course not. It was strategic reading for gathering intel. [gasps] But seriously, have you ever tried popcorn before?! Because it's the best! I mean, the best way to trick them into thinking I'm one of their friends! [nervous laugh] I'm telling ya! They were gabbin'! I was grubbin'!

Calina: Welcome to the Rocket Room, Rainbow... Rainbow, uh... [whispering] What's your last name?
Rainbow Sparkle: Ah, uh... Spark!
[beat]
Rainbow Sparkle: [nervous laugh] Spark, um... Sparkle? Uh, Sparkle!
Calina: Welcome, Rainbow Sparkle, to the best sorcery sleepover of your life!
Mei Lee: So nice to finally meet you, Rainbow. Calina’s told us—
Rainbow Sparkle: Told you?! Told you what?! [gasps]
Pegasus: When did you say you got into Dallas, Texas?
Rainbow Sparkle: Oh, I didn't—
Pegasus: In town just for a visit? Or staying permanently?
Calina: Pegasus. Buddy, you're going it up the wrong hill here. You don't need to "detective" her. Rainbow's our friend. Ooh! We're already way behind schedule! Come on, "sorceries"! [giggles]
Rainbow Sparkle: [gulps]
Pegasus: Hmm...
Mei Lee: [giggling]
Calina: [gasps]
Mei Lee, Pegatrix and Pegasus: Ooooh!
All: [laughing]
Pegatrix: Oh, my stars!
[music]
Calina: Ta-daaaaah! [screams]
[thud]
All: [laughing]
Mei Lee: So, how does this game work?
Calina: The rules of "Even or Odd Dare" go... [deep breath, quickly] If a player spins the wheel and lands on an odd number, then they dare someone to do something fun! But if they land on an even number, they dare someone to do something funny, and if their fun is too funky or funky too fun, they go back and do it all over again!
[beat]
Pegatrix: That makes total sense.
Calina: [gasps]
[smack!]
[clattering]
Mei Lee and Pegasus: [gasp]
Calina: Whoops! Explaining the rules took too long! We've gotta move on, party!
(music playing)
Calina: The art of reading has been in the Zhao family for generations! It all started with Great-Great Auntie Ying.
Rainbow Sparkle: [gulps, gasps] Ooh! So interesting!
Calina: Tea time!
Rainbow Sparkle: [slurping]
Calina: Uh, Rainbow? Those tea leaves were for reading, not for drinking. [laughs] Remember?
Rainbow Sparkle: [spitting]
Pegatrix: [singsong] Popcorn statiooooon!
Mei Lee: Yum! Oh, thanks, Calina!
Pegasus: Yeah!
Rainbow Sparkle: [crunch] Mmm! This is the best thing I've ever eaten in my entire life!
[beat]
Pegatrix: [crunch]
Rainbow Sparkle: ...that I say every time I eat it 'cause I eat it all the time! Or did when I lived in Sacramento all my life! [crunching, nervous laugh]
Calina: Oooh! "Rainbow Hill"! A sorcery sleepover classic! But we only have three minutes to move through! Let's go! [humming] Aha!
Movie Sorcery: Don't you see, Salty? I'm just a sorcerer, standing in front of another sorcerer, asking him to share with her!
Calina: [swoons] So romantic.
Mei Lee: Say, Calina, you think we can slow down a bit?
Pegatrix: Yeah, I've barely made a dent in my chocolate popcorn.
Rainbow Sparkle: I'll help you finish it!
Calina: [gasps] Slow down?!
Rainbow Sparkle: Aah!
[thud]
Calina: If anything, we need to speed up! If we don't do everything, it's jinxie!
Rainbow Sparkle: What's jinxie?
Calina: [laughing] You are so funny!
Pegasus: Don't you think it's a little weird Rainbow's just as lost as us? She claims to have grown up in Sacramento, but it's as if she's never even been there, Sis. Sis?!
Mei Lee: What's next, Calina?
Pegatrix: [reading] "Ask an Amethyst". What's that?
Calina: You mean having conversations with your crystals is just a sorcery thing? Whoa. [scoffs] Can you believe that, Rainbow?
Rainbow Sparkle: [gulps] Uh, totally! It's, um... what you said! So, uh, hmm, where's that little dragon from earlier? Shouldn't he be enjoying the party as well?
Pegatrix: Oh, Drago? Sam is limiting the overnight dragon-sitting until he gets the hang of his dragonfire.
Rainbow Sparkle: "Dragonfire"? Is that magical? Like your personalities?
Mei Lee: It's definitely something. We're not sure what yet.
Pegatrix: It can transform all sorts of stuff, though! Even personalities! Just ask Mei about the "personality-switch"! [giggles]
Mei Lee: Oh! [nervous laugh]
Rainbow Sparkle: Hmm...
Calina: [clears throat] And now, for my favorite part— Well, next to my other favorite part and my other, other favorite... [deep breath] It's the sleepover sing-along!
[low, echoing note]
Calina: We sing this all the time back in Bridlewood. Even foals know it.
Pegasus: Well then, why don't you and Rainbow Sparkle do it as a duet? Teach us together.
Calina: [gasps] Brilliant idea! Oh! We'll jump into the chorus together, then you take the verse! [clears throat]

Mei Lee: I'm sorry we don't know a ton of sorcery stuff, Calina. But we're happy to learn.
Pegatrix: And we're happy to do all the other things you had planned.
Pegasus: It may just take us a while.
Calina: Aw, thanks, guys. Maybe we can continue our list and... I'll just sing the song by myself later.
Pegatrix: No, no-no-no-no-no! Of course not! I'll sing it with you!
Mei Lee: Or maybe we can play another game together.
Pegatrix: Oh! What about that unicorn tradition you mentioned where we all balance yarn balls on our heads and count to the highest number we can think of?
Rainbow Sparkle: Hmmm... Where is that lantern? Ooh! I can use this! Mirabel? Mirabel! Oh, right. This thing doesn't work inside the Rocket Room. [grunts]
[window creaks]
Rainbow Sparkle: Mirabel, I'm in! But no lantern. What do I do next?
Mirabel: [groans] THINK, Rainbow! There's got to be some way up to that glass room at the top! It'll be there with the pris-beam! Don't come back without it! Then their power is ours! [laughs evilly]
Rainbow Sparkle: [laughs evilly]
Mirabel: Oh. Better, Rainbow. But it's a marathon, not a sprint. Don't be a show-off.
[door hisses]
[beep]
Rainbow Sparkle: Why isn't it working?
[beeping]
[alarm blaring]
Rainbow Sparkle: Aah! No! Shh! Shh-shh-shh! They'll find out—!
Pegasus: Find what out?
Rainbow Sparkle: That, uh, I can't figure out this keypad to go up to the washroom! [nervous laugh] So embarrassing.
Pegasus: You were trying to find the washroom in the elevator?
Rainbow Sparkle: No, but I thought— Well, I thought I'd go look at the view first! It's a fun Sacramento tradition, which is probably why you didn't know about it! [nervous laugh]
Pegasus: First Sacramento tradition I totally get! I love awesome views! Maybe I'll take you up there to look some other time. But the washroom is down there.
Rainbow Sparkle: Heh... Thanks. Um, I'll be sure to take you up on that.
Pegasus: Hmm...
Calina: [sighs] Well, that was fun, but I guess it's over now. Good night, everypony.
Mei Lee: I'm not that sleepy. Are you, Pipp?
Pegatrix: Oh! Uh, no, no! I'm... [yawning] ...I'm really fired up for more... fun, actually.
Mei Lee: [gasps] Let's tell stories!
Calina: Mei! How did you know we do that at a sorcery sleepover?!
Mei Lee: That's one tradition we do here, too.
Calina: Whoo!
Mei Lee: This is the true story of the Guardians of Happiness and the beginning of the world we called; earth...
Pegatrix: [sighs] I loooove this story. [claps]
Mei Lee: Once upon a time, there was a very special sorcerer [narrating] A bright sorcery, as bright as the sun named Leonardo, or Leo for short. One day, he was summoned by the princess named Princess Sunlight for an assignment: to learn about happiness! He moved to Los Angeles and met humans, sorceries and flyers who became his best friends! Together, they taught the power of happiness and how to live in unity to everyone in the world. But then one day, a magical accident happened! [narrating] A human girl got hurt by a hooded sorceress! Everyone started fighting with each other! Leonardo, now the rocketship king, wanting to protect his kingdom and all in it, decided to put all magic into three crystals before it got out of hand. After that, humans only felt safe with other humans. Sorceries with Sorceries. And Flyers of a feather flock together. They gone as far as they could with their crystals, settling in what would become NYC, Sacramento, and Dallas Texas. And that's where they lived forever until now.
Rainbow Sparkle: Wait! But that is not the true story at all!
Mei Lee: Yes, it is. We pieced together the crystal part ourselves. Literally.
Pegasus: Why? What have you heard, Rainbow?
Rainbow Sparkle: You were right about magic being in the world at the beginning. [narrating] But most of it came from another sorceress, who wasn't a sorceress at all, but a rocketship! Her magic was too powerful. They were jealous of her ability and wanted it all for themselves. So King Leonardo stole all the magic from the queen and hid it away somehow. Then King Leonardo put an enchanted invisi-bubble around the world so the powerful rocketship queen could never find the magic or the kingdom again. The queen was left alone, with only a shadow left of her strength and power. All while the others created towns built with her stolen magic!
Pegatrix: What?! That's the true version?
Pegasus: [claps] Who told you that?
Rainbow Sparkle: Ah! Uh, nobody! Uh, you know, I-I may have made some of it up. [nervous laugh]
Calina: "True", "made-up", what difference does it make? Each story was great! Especially that rocketship queen part. [gasps] So creative! So epic! Got any more?
Mei Lee: Yeah.
Pegatrix: So is this like an old Sacramento fairy tale or...?
Calina: I've never heard it, but maybe that's just my own corner of the community. Where did you say you grew up exactly, Rainbow?
Pegasus: Yeah, where did you grow up?
Rainbow Sparkle: Uh, nowhere! And nobody! And I... probably gotta get going to get back right about now! Bye!
Calina: Wait, Rainbow! You can't leave! This party is all just for... you.
Pegasus: Hey, I didn't mean anything by all my questions. I was just trying to get to the bottom of things and figure out the real truth.
Calina: Heh. The truth? You wanna know the truth? My first real sleepover in Dallas has been a complete and total jinx-a-thon!
[beat]
Calina: That means "failure". Party's over, team.
Mei Lee: But we don't have to start cleaning just yet, Calina. I know this didn't go as you planned, but the night is still young.
Pegatrix: Yeah! We can still have more fun!
Calina: [sighs] That's really sweet of you all to say, but it isn't just Rainbow leaving. This isn't a real celebratory sleepover without being in Sacramento, anyway. I just wish I could... lay on the ground and stare up at the big branches of Redwood trees rustling above me. It's what I always did when I felt... un-sparkly. I mean, I love living in the city with all you. But sometimes I miss my sorcery stuff so much. And I thought having Rainbow Sparkle here would help.
Mei Lee: So, what exactly do you miss about Sacramento? Be specific.
Calina: Do you reeeeally wanna hear? Are you suuuure? The list is longer than the lyrics to my unicorn sleepover sing-along song.
Pegasus: Ohhhh... Then I'm gonna have to get comfortable.
Mei Lee: [chuckles] Tell us everything, even if it takes all night and into the next day.
Calina: Well... [quickly] I miss the jinxie dances! Horseshoe games! Sparkle seasons with hot chili peppermint honeysuckle iced teas! The critter contests! The bunnies! The wishing well! The bongo beat poetry! Learning how to hold my breath for long stretches so we can excitedly exclaim long lists like this very one that I'm exclaiming now! [deep breath]
Rainbow Sparkle: [whimpering] I have to go! I have to get out of here! I've already said too much! But I can't just leave! Not without that lantern! But if I go back, they'll ask me more questions and expose my lies! Unless I sneak past them and bypass the elevator with somebody else's hand! But whose? And how?! [panicked breathing] Is it too late to tell them that I was just kidding?! [nervous laugh] Whew!
Calina: Oh! Fuzzy pops in the summer! Funky horn fashions in the fall! Lighting the stones on each day of the Christmas holidays! [continues under]
Mei Lee: Pssst! Pegasus! Can you distract her while we redecorate a little?
Pegasus: Sure, but I don't think my help is gonna be necessary.
Mei Lee: Come on. It's time to bring a little bit of Sacramento to the Rocket Room.
Calina: ...Glow horn hats! Staring at the sky crystals shooting across a shimmering, starry sky! Crunchy corn cakes! Sweet, salty strudel! Knitting scarves for armadillos in the winter!
Mei Lee: Okay, stop listing things, Calina. Because one... two... Surprise!
Calina: (gasps) What... is all this stuff?!
Mei Lee: It's all the stuff you said you missed from Sacramento! Give or take a couple strudels.
Pegatrix: Now you can lay down and look up at the branches, just like home.
Calina: I-I can't believe it. You guys did all of this just as I was talking?!
Pegasus: Well, to be fair, you had a lot to say.
Calina: Oh, this is some pretty impressive unicycling, too! Huh! Maybe you all have a bit of socery in you, after all. [gasps] Hey, Rainbow Sparkle! You're back!
Rainbow Sparkle: Uh, yeah. I-I was hungry, so I thought, maybe I'll go out to the garden and harvest some strawberries? That I ate all myself, which is why I don't have any right now! [nervous laugh]
Calina: Oh, I'm just so glad you're back! I hope you know how welcome you are here. Look! Doesn't it remind you so much of our sweet little hometown?
Rainbow Sparkle: Uh, yes! It's like I'm transported back in time. It's actually... pretty incredible.
Calina: [laughs, imitates trumpet] Hear, hear! I, Calina Zhao from Sacramento, hereby start the sorcery sleepover ceremonies again!
Mei Lee: Should we start with another sorcery song?
Pegatrix: I'll count us in. A five, six, seven, eight!
Calina: Oh, we don't have to.
Mei Lee: We insist!
Calina: Really? Do you know the words to this one?
Pegasus: I mean, we don't.
Pegatrix: But we can definitely try.
Calina: Okay! [deep breath]

Rainbow Sparkle: I tried, but this plan has been, well, more difficult than we originally anticipated. But don't worry! Though I haven't picked up the lantern per se, I have gathered plenty of info about their new magic! Well, they believe a completely different story about the origin of earth. Oh! And they told me all about dragonfire and how it changes personalities! Also, we did reading and ate popcorn and did decorating and—
Mirabel: Hold on. Misty. "Decorating"? "Popcorn"? And "Reading"?! Did you have FUN with these kids?!
Rainbow Sparkle: No, no, of course not. It was strategic reading for gathering intel. [gasps] But seriously, have you ever tried popcorn before?! Because it's the best! I mean, the best way to trick them into thinking I'm one of their friends! [nervous laugh] I'm telling ya! They were gabbin'! I was grubbin'!
Pegasus: [yawns]
Rainbow Sparkle: We were getting our top secret info that will take us to the next level, Mirabel! Promise!
Pegasus: Hmm...There’s something off of Rainbow Sparkle.
