This rubs me off as a what-if the Tomcats managed to get deployed before the U.S had to evacuate Vietnam. Man, the kills that the Tomcat would've racked up thanks to the fact that it has a gun.

Hi my friend. I appreciate your kind comment. Your are right, but you won't believe it. I making these while I am supposed to be doing better things, so these are technically the products of procrastination

Oh, yeah, I know that feeling very very well!
How many times I've I been drawing/writing when I should be working?
At least you came up with something awesome, so it's worthwhile.

Splash one Fishbed!
It could have happened; VF-1 had their F-14As when they were off Vietnam during the evacuation of Saigon.

Too bad it didn't. If it did,the Communist world would witness the power of the Tomcat.

All I meant was that the scene is only ficticious in that there never was a "live engagement", since the 2 types have been in the same theatre.

Beautiful. It's a shame they replaced it with the Super Hornet, which I never felt was a worthy successor.

And it only gets worse if the F-35C ever enters service.

Ah, yes, I've seen that before.
It's shooting methane out of it's rear end like some sort of jet. and the missiles are actually built-up calcium.

Awesome work.
Never mess with Navy F-14s, especially their pilots are Top Gun graduates.
