This is very interesting work! Are you using some kind of procedural effect or modifier on the geometry to get that boxy faceted look? If you did it all by hand, wow, but either way, very cool.

Hiya, actually this started out as a tutorial I found on the net ages ago (can't remember where), I soon gave up but kept the file I was working on. About a month later I found the file (I have waaay too many half finished bits and pieces scattered around the hard drive..) and decided to add just a few primitives (cylinder, spheres etc), all I did really was to use extrusion on all selected polys using a high variance and and preserve groups unchecked and viola
