Draw Like Mad entry for
It's like a raffle contest thing

SO. This one was fun to pull off. Here, we see my first ever OC, Pink. Yeah. That was her name. Pink. The one on the left is the original, and the one on the right is revamped. In the DLM Challenge, I was supposed to draw a character "from 6th grade" and draw them with all their evolutions from beginning to now. I don't actually draw Pink anymore, since I've gone to the anthro side of art and they're both humans, so I really only had two characters to draw. Actually, I don't use any characters from before this past February. :I Except for the designs of how I draw myself. That's about it.

I had made up the series, EP: WoW WoW!, about 5 years ago. The entire story took place waaaaaay in the future, when Earth was destroyed by humans (I think I had it explode...?) and everyone lived on "Marz" I couldn't spell Mars back then, so I'll just stick with it. Humanity was able to make an atmosphere on Marz and unfreeze the ice caps and whatever. However, when Earth died, pieces of it drifted off into space. Since humans are essentially connected to the Earth, we could control it. Basically, everyone was an earthbender. The pieces of Earth, or "earth putty" (hence the title) could be distorted into shapes for defense, like weapons or shields, or for everyday help, such as buildings and landscaping. There was an abundance of the stuff, since Marz was relatively close.

However, the plot of the story takes off when some mysterious force splits Marz into 6 pieces. And yes, past me was a copy cat. I literally took the idea from Sonic Unleashed. That's why I should've been hit with a lead pipe. A 10-year-old girl named Pink, living in one of the Marz colonies, decides to take off on a journey throughout the pieces to find the problem. Along the way, she meets other girls from the separate colonies, including Yellow (12), Blue (6), Green (14), and Orange (8). The group of 5 team up to find out who caused the disruption, and to get Marz back the way it was. Towards the end, the main villain that is discovered is Pink's mother, Red, an elite controller of earth putty.

The entire story had a lot of flaws, and I was too lazy to actually make a comic at my age. My plot wasn't original at the least, and a 6 and 8-year-old saving the world? What? If everyone could control earth putty, then I don't think a 10-year-old would be saving the planet. Red never even had a motive for breaking Marz into pieces.

Let's just move on.

I wanted to have the older and newer Pinks to be doing something fun together. Why not fly miles above the unbroken planet with earth putty? I even did brief research on Mars with its moons, so give me some credit. Mars has roughly 2 Solar Eclipses every day due to one of its moons rotating around the planet twice a day or something. Because of distance, Mars can't get total Solar Eclipses like Earth. It just gets some weird covering of light or whatever.

For the DLM Challenge, you're not judged on your art, since everything gets raffled, but I wasn't going to submit anything less than my "best" because, if I did, I wouldn't be too happy. Dan's challenge made me go through nostalgia and hell at the same time. My first sketchbook... *shivers* Now, you guys get to see the beauty that was my art 5 years ago:

LOOK AT THAT. PINK. YOU WERE SO ANATOMICALLY INCORRECT. Well, she still is... That was actually the only colored in picture I found of her, throughout all of my drawings.

Eheheh if it weren't for Pink, I probably wouldn't have kept up with all of my artwork I do now...okay, so I hate my old self, but I like these two. ;u; Redesigning Pink was fun.

WOW that was a lot of typing for a picture. Congrats if you read it, I guess. Now you know where I come from as an artist. although I started drawing Sonic art before manga human stuff
