Description
Possession is a tricky process, trying to sync up a foreign consciousness with a new host body. Add in the difficulty of adapting to forms and dimensions that follow completely different physical laws and 'mistakes' can occur.

Known as 'Cacodemons', these literal misfits are what happens when the invading entity doesn't fully understand how to translate its own essence to the physical laws of this dimension. Like an untrained human being placed in a deep-sea diving suit designed for something with five more limbs and a completely scent-based UI, trying to both learn the controls and explore the ocean floor at the same time, the Cacodemon has to both secure some form of understanding of the strange new body it's inhabiting while at the same time trying to adjust its senses to the limitations and quirks of this current dimension.

While the results are seldom pretty or comprehensible by our standards, it seems to do little to lessen the danger and destructive potential of the demon once it's firmly anchored in our dimension.
