I love the neat line art and the brilliant colors chosen! Great work. The character design is original, and I love the glow on the moon and one of the character's horn.
I would personally add more contrast between light and dark areas to give it a more dramatic affect, and I would add more fur and feather details (small hairs, more feathers, designs on feathers, etc.) Making the background darker would be great also, and maybe making the stars and the glow of the horn more dramatic would be great also!
Overall, it is shows a lot of emotion, and you should be proud!

Thank you for the extremely helpful criticism, but I do like to keep my style simple but sophisticated, so I'm not sure I'd be able to add much more detail than a few tufts of hair on the coat without having to change my style completely to accommodate the amount of detail, but nevertheless your critique was helpful and greatly appreciated!
