OMG! I did stuff like that all the time when I was a kid! I'd always play with the salt and pepper shakers at restaurants. The "Condiment Family" as it was so called. Once, I was doing this at the house of a friend/relative of my dad, who has been sick (and is still sick) for a very long time. I apparently made him laugh; first time in a long time.

Well, I don't remember exactly what random adventures I had with the condiment family. I just played with my forks, Sonny sauces and anything else, making them battle each other to the death and stuff like that. I was a really grabby kid. Still am. According to my Oma, that's a habit from my dad.
