Description
The first of a new set of stickers I am working on that I will be selling at AWA. They will go up in my store online sometime around October, but AWA attendees can snag them first! Most of the new set will be mythology themed.This guy here is a Quetzalcoatl, a plumed/feathered serpent and god from the Aztec/Mesoamerican mythology. Obviously there is a bit more to this beastie, so I suggest a trip on over to Wikipedia for the full story.

As you should! They're fantastic. A couple friends saw them over my shoulder as I was browsing here or on fb/tumblr/something and were all "Woah! Those would make some really great tats." Or something that probably sounds less lame, IDK I'm bad at remembering quotes and stuff.
I really don't know where I'll be next. I just got a full time job in web design and SPX cleared out the bank for me (over $200 in comic purchases, probs another hundred in booze) but damn. It was so worth it — it was small, but that was cool because it was about the people. So many awesome comics artists in one place equals a hell of a fun time. Got to meet a lot of my heroes.
I've never been to MOCCAfest; SPX was the first of its kind for me. I'd love to check it out eventually, though! I'll probably be going to TCAF next May, but that's the only one that I'm quasi-sure of. P:

Yeah everyone keeps telling me that SPX is worth a trip; but not to expect to make any profit if you do indie/small press conventions. And well, I don't have any comics or books yet so thos cons are probably def off my list for right now. I do have some ideas rolling around in the back of my head so we'll see.

Awesome Quetzalcoatl! Great coloring! I like the feathers on the head and the tail, some people just make it with wings and that's wrong.

Thank you! Yeah, in a lot of the old traditional quetzalcoatl art shows the serpent having the tail feathers and on the body. I haven't seen any that display the Quetzalcoatl with wings, but I've just always drawn him that way. Glad you like it!

Haha, thanks. I was actually thinking about turning this one into a shirt. I saw that design contest but eh, i dunno.... I'd rather have control over my own stuff than let DA have one of my pieces. I'm getting around to getting my own press for shirts I just need time get all of this stuff done haha.

Maybe you could use an online store. Do you know Threadless? Is a good place to start and their shirts are really comfy.
