Chrio- I won't let you get away with this Mandarin! I won't let you help Skeleton King and take Shuggazoom for yourself!

Mandarin- HELP SKELETON KING!? You think I'd be so stupid as to help the Skeleton King!? I would NEVER help him! The whole reason I got kicked out of my team in the first place was because I hated him that much!

Chrio- What!? They told me you grew mad with power and put Shuggazoom at risk!

Mandarin-...That's really what they told you?

Chrio- Uh yeah? Am I missing something?

Mandarin- They say history’s told by the winners because I have a different version of the story if you want to hear.

Chiro- Sigh, I might be here for a while so why not?

Mandarin- I assume they already told you how I used to be the leader of the Hyperforce, yes? Well here's the real reason behind my fall from grace. I did not go "mad with power", I went mad at Skeleton King. Years we've fought him, countless lives lost, so much destruction. We may have kept Shuggazoom safe but the rest of the Galaxy was basically at his mercy, I just couldn't take it anymore. I proposed a huge attack, with everything we got, as well as Shuggazoom's resources at him! A final battle to end things once and for all. But they didn't want to do that. They said it'd be "too dangerous" and "would endanger the City". Our whole purpose is to defeat the Skeleton King and they REFUSED TO DO THAT! Assuming u know the rest of our...fight, they cast me into the prison ship, locked away, left, forgotten. And all I wanted to do was the right thing.

Chiro- I-I didn't know that.

Mandarin- Yeah. You probably think I'm lying. Can't blame you, I wish I was lying. According to the Prison Logs, they never visited, not even once! Despite all the good I did, the good times I had with them, they just abandoned me and worse, REPLACED ME! Mandarin begins to shed a tear. Chrio reaches out to him.

Chrio- I'm sorry Mandarin. I didn't know.

Mandarin- I know. It's not your fault they abandoned me. Ur just a child, you shouldn't have been involved in this mess.

Chiro- But it doesn't have to be this way Mandarin. I know all of that can't be changed but we can change what's happening now! Maybe we can still get the monkeys from getting to Skeleton King.

Mandarin-...I'm afraid that might be too late as well. I planted a detonator in the transport ship.

Chiro-WHAT!?

Mandarin-Its timed to blow once it reaches to Skeleton King. I did though timed the locks the Hyperforce are in to unlock a few minutes in advance before the detonator to give them a chance to escape before it sets off. I can't promise they'll make it though, the blast is supposed to be very strong but they’ve been through worse. Either way, Skeleton King’s sure to be destroyed and we’ll all finally be free of his tyranny!

Chiro- How could you!

Mandarin- I'm doing what needs to be done! They had their chance! They should be glad I’m giving them another!

Chiro tries to run but Mandarin stops him, igniting his gauntlets.

Mandarin- You still have one too boy. I don't want to hurt anyone except Skeleton King. But if I must, I WILL!!!
