Hey everyone, been awhile but I’ve made a new SHG edition, for the show’s best mean witch gal, Amaryllis who I’m renaming to Saffron!🪄⚛️

Introduction:

“ Daughter of a revolutionary family industry(MagiCore Industries), responsible for the main production and distribution of new magic resources for Lyngarth, especially terrapsheres, Saffron’s always had a sense of ambition. Like Sage she’s also a prodigy in magic, dedicating herself to her studies and experiments in new magic. Always striving for more and will crush anyone who gets in her way! She’s Sage’s rival, always butting heads over which magic’s better. She wants to continue the proud legacy her family has left and hopes through High Guardian Acadmey will help her accomplish her goals. Though along the way comes to rethink things and if she should rewrite her plans. Don't tell anyone else that or she'll try to zap you with her terrapshere!”.

Character:

I honestly didn’t want to change too much. She still has Amaryllis’ overall mean girl energy but here I made her more of a mad scientist/ambitious engineer type. She’s a prodigy like Sage but whereas she’s used to old magic, Saffron uses new magic and proud of it. She believes in progress, change. During her progress to new magic had met old magic users that frown upon the new ways of magic and new ideas and values, preferring tradition, even if it might make more problems.

Because of this as well as being brought up by a family that strongly believes in change and renovation, Saffron grew to look down on old magic practitioners, seeing them as archaic and limiting themselves, not understanding the value for tradition. With that said it drives her crazy that her biggest rival/competition is able to match, even excel in some ways with OLD MAGIC! She and Sage have a sort of “better than you” rivalry going on, constantly pushing each other more and more into their goals, sometimes(understatement), getting carried away in the process. Overtime they come to understand each other’s perspective better and embrace both old and new magic…and eachother.

Because I’m making her a magic prodigy I’m also making her smarter and proud of her intelligence. She loves learning about magic. She and Sage are both considered nerds for their big love of magic, tbh they have a lot in common then they’d like to admit, lol. She won’t hesitate to throw hands or terrapsheres to anyone who tries to diss magic and her passion for it.

She also like Am, still has her hidden soft side. Although she’s talks big and very popular with her classmates and peers but in reality, pretty lonely. Snap’s one of the only people who don’t want to be her friend because of her wealth and skills. Her family’s also very busy and a part of the reason she tries so much is to make them proud(something Sage also can relate with), and feel acknowledged, Also a part of the reason for most of her issues, stemming from her lonely childhood. She acts like she doesn't need anyone but in reality craves others support and validation.

Her biggest fault would be her pride, she’s a very proud person and if underestimated would do everything in her power to prove otherwise. A lot of the time it ends up blowing up in her face. And because of her personal issues with old magic, clouds her judgement and overlooks the benefits of old magic as well as the faults with new magic. She like Rye, also believe in being smart about making a gain. She’s very business savvy and sells the spells and other magic aids she makes.

Her arc is about accepting the importance old magic has and how it has and can still be applied in the modern world as well as letting go of her pride for the bigger picture. She also learns she shouldn’t push her self just to impress others and overall to love herself and to accept her vulnerabilities. I’m also going for a bit of a rival deconstruction and how when you get carried away with rivalry, miss the bigger picture of what really matters and that it might be better to try to help each other, rather than compete. She and Sage both deal with this.

Redesign:

* A huge criticism with Am’s old look was that it looked bland. Wanted her look to differentiate completely from Sage’s cute traditional witch look, I gave her a more modern mage look✨

* Also mixed in a scientist look to make new magic differ more from old, traditional magic. Gave her a fancy lab coat, boots, gloves and a magic visor👩‍🔬 She has magic in vials on her and extra stuff in her waist bag(extra magic tools, VISA card, makeup, etc).

* Also went for some goth vibes with the dark colors, makeup and fashion☠️ * Not into cutesy light feminine fashion, more into dark modern stuff.

* Got rid of the witch hat. In my version, they’re considered more “old-school”🧙‍♀️

* Redesigned her terrapshere bracelet. Made it a Diamond, thought it fit her more, personality and status♦️

* Gave her sharp features in her design for her sharp mind and attitude.

* The twinkle designs on her look are meant to be branded, designer fashion cause her fam’s loaded and likes to show off. The equivalent of Gucci✨

* Because I’m renaming her saffron, I also changed her color scheme to fit the colors of the saffron flower with some black and grays for her dark nature.

* Put her hair into pigtails and gave her a sideway’s bang look for a more modern look. Also added some lighter purple streaks💜

* Strengths- High intellect, confident, social, can take lead, determined, great sell and trading skills, business + tech savvy, multilingual, good dancer, highly skilled in new magic and science, high confidence, street smarts, assertiveness, good for resources and loyal.

* Weaknesses- Hugely dependent on her terrapshere for combat and magic, secret self-esteem issues, little knowledge of old magic, has trouble with cooperation(especially involving Sage, at first),impatient, bossy, impulsive when challenged, prone to take on challenges quickly sometimes, trust issues, anger issues and pride.

* Would be a fan of Marie Curie🧪

* Japanese coded🇯🇵

* I’m thinking of keeping her backstory the same, busy parents and raised by workers. I’m thinking she’s an only child. Perhaps has also been in a competitive elite boarding school or something where she had to watch her back from people trying to put her down or take advantage of her cause she comes from a big name. Would explain her personal flaws, especially her over-competitiveness and abrasive personality.

* Amaryllis’ vows were about making a legacy so I kept a similar goal for Saffron, that to follow her family’s legacy of making progress in the world of magic.

* Changed her name to saffron as it’s an expensive ingredient as well as used for modern medicines. Fits her rich background and scientist vibe.

* Has her own blog were she records her spells and other stuff in her life. Has A LOT of followers.

* Has also done some sponsoring for her family's and asscociates products.

* Her Terrapshere’s a custom type, engineered it herself.

* I ship her and SHG Sage💙💜
