Description
“Rough Pencils” settings for Paint Tool Sai.I did this for my classmates many moons ago, so I thought I’d share it with you folks.
S= Soft, H=Hard: Basically how solid you want the edges of the line strokes.
P= Pressure. I push pretty hard so you may want to adjust that to your preference.

Sorry for the question, I'm really new about this and I don't quite understand how I can put this pencil on my S.A.I.
¿Do I need to make a new brush or something? Sorry for bothering :'v

Yeah, you make a new brush and enter the settings. Let me know if you have any trouble.

Fantastic! Now I can get started on my comic series!
I needed this pencil style, cuz I don't want it looking too cartoony like my other pieces.

These are settings you have to input manually. There is no download.

Is there a reason to use quality 1 on the brush instead of 4?
👍: 0 ⏩: 1
DocSinistar In reply to Khuzang [2016-01-25 14:31:27 +0000 UTC]
Quality 1 is more responsive so it's generally better at keeping your nuances in sketch lines.
4 you gets you a smother line but it looks and feels more artificial. Hope that helps.

Is 4 more recommended on line art then?

Hmmm, the pencil does looks like that when you zoom in a lot or make the brush size to big. It might be your canvas size. The usual size I sketch on is 1748 x 2480 (A5 paper) with the pencil size 5.
You can turn the noise down that usually works. In the picture it is 44. 22 or less might sort it out. Makes the lines smoother.

Yeah, its just an image. You have to make a new pencil or brush and input the settings. It's quite easy but if you're having trouble I'd be happy to help.
