So today after I went to extra school (I go to extra school to learn a step ahead my class in English and Math) my dad, sister, and I went to Uwajimaya and looked around for awhile before my sister and I went home. When we went inside Uwajimaya, we went to get some food first (Had some fast food even though I'm trying to quit it... DX) then my sister and I went *cough cough* ran *cough cough* to the bookstore that was connected to Uwajimaya. I was drooling over all the anime/manga/drawing stuff for at least a whole 10 minutes before my sister began to bug me about something. So to stop her pestering I followed her down many isles until we stop in front of A LOT of markers. It took me a while before I realized what those markers were and before I knew it I had let out a really loud and girly squeal. What my sister (who I really should be praising right now) was a bunch of copic markers. They were about $7.00 a pop and I was kinda bummed out because it was that expensive but I had a quick and detailed conversation with my dad and we agreed that I would look on the internet for the cheapest price for copic markers I could find. Now the great part of this is that I've found (with the help of people on Da) a great site that supplies copic markers and other things for traditional art. Since I'm buying them for the first time I'm getting a set of 72 copic markers (set a and set b to be exact) and some other products for extra detail. The bad part is that with the two sets of copic markers the cost goes up to more than $1,000 and my family just doesn't have a that kind of money to buy that.
So this is were I began thinking seriously about my dream. My dream is to actually open up an art shop that can help teach kids the joy of art. And to accomplish that dream I have actually get serious with art and do more then just create original character, but make some art with backgrounds and objects like flowers, people, etc. That is where the lovely commissions come in! I will soon be doing commissions to not only pay for the supplies I need to start drawing more traditional art but also to give me more experience in art itself. My goal is to raise up to $1,000 by the end of my freshman year so I can get the copic markers and other supplies and start practicing on traditional art (I need the practice because of doing so much digital art... C: ) It would be great if some of you guys were to help my with my goal and commission me when my commissions are open!
Well after all that thinking and stuff I've come to the point where I've looked at my work space and realized that I need to REALLY organize my desk and make my self some rules to keep my desk clean. So while I'm thinking of some rules I'm organizing my desk of all unneeded clutter: looking through used notebooks around my house (keeping unused pages, pages that have little bits of writing like about half a page, and also taking out taped paper work.) Keeping finished drawings in folders, books being sent to the shelves my family and me have in his living room, and also think about where the two anime posters I have should go, keeping a checklist of stuff I need to do, and make a list for rules itself.
All down to the point, commissions will be opened soon, will finish organizing my desk soon, making a $1,000 goal, and also I'M GETTING SERIOUS WITH ART MAN! XD
