Cannon-fodder. Meat-shields. Acceptable losses. Necessary sacrifices.

These are the phrases I refuse to acknowledge in the Star Wars universe when there is a galaxy of innovation at everyone's finger tips. Sadly, the Clone Wars media still slaps the labels on these warriors to be shrouded by the clash between the Jedi and Sith, light vs. dark.

I intend to change that.

The Unknown Regions is a different ball-game compared to what happens in the Outer Rim and the known territories on the starmap- units sent over do not have the luxury of Kamino or manufacturing colonies being only a hyperspace jump away. The 77th are allotted a blank check, only because what they initially receive is what they'll have to make do with- or wait for a supply/logistics fleet to arrive. But the wait is gruesome, the route is littered with scavengers, bounty hunters and other hostile life-forms from the darkest abyss of explored space...even a faction leftover from the days of the Old Republic. One tour/rotation in the Unknown Regions can change a polished rookie from the 212th, into a hardened warrior un-phased by the CIS's tricks/tactics- because the 77th endures and adapts against the unorthodox to only respond in kind. These men are the pioneers of the Clone Wars, improvising against all odds to attain victory and halt the spread of tyranny to pave new ways to the Republic's future. To do that, new tactics must be implemented- reinforcements are a pipe-dream, "grab some bacta and move on", "No ammo? Re-gun or vibro-blade it out", "Want us on the other side of an obstacle, General? Force push us over", "Pilot or ship engineer? Specialized rifleman". Everyone fights, no one quits.

That said, these troopers need R&R as well. Morale, Wellness and Recreation facilities are established and maintained by our Clone Engineers. Sectors are cleared out in order to setup mission-critical stations for future beddown operations and less reliance on supplies from Coruscant. To supplement 77th forces, other units like the 501st, 41st, 91st, and 212th are authorized to augment into the Unknown Region theater of operations- a fresh trade for a veteran Experimental Unit trooper that equates to an entire squad for a company of fresh conscripts.

But the main point to take away from this long monologue, is that the 77th takes care of its own. No one gets left behind, and that's why these Stratojumpers (SJs)- not to be confused with the Helldivers- will perform just that. Stratorescue. From a clone medic to clone medic sentinels, the next tier are these lot. Capable of providing life-preserving aid on transit to a medical frigate/facility, these troopers will lay down suppressive fire and yank you from Death's door. Equipped with clone pilot helmets, they can tap into the communications channel for the entire sector and receive priority one support, whether it be Close Air Support or Medevac. They are also armored in the necessary places, and utilize gadgets that make them a walking E.R. Also armed with Westar ARC blasters, Grenade launchers and whatever the SJ desires- they "can do, and will do." Adorning the red-orange color of the 77th, these men also exclusively don angel wing decals on their helmet- a sight to behold and take comfort in knowing they've descended from above to make a clone's life matter.

Pray you'll never need them- but rejoice when you see them. Because they've ensured someone's tomorrow.
