The basic principle is to draw a path using the pen tool and select the stroke option from the Paths window. Which bits are you struggling with?

Ah. Version 3 is based on version 2 which is based on version 1. You would do better to look at V3 and V2, and leave V1 out altogether The only reason it's still in my gallery is because i wanted to keep all my stuff here online.

First of all great tutorial ... I am currently attempting to do it on a Skyline however am having some issues with the stroking ... How do you stroke the outlines at different levels or Pixels? Since if I do the complete outline or path in one layer I can not select one section: it strokes the whole outline at the same level - the only way I can see to do it would be to create several different layers for each different stroke size ...
Any help would be appreciated ... Thanks

Hi,
Firstly have you looked at this:
[link]
That's my latest tutorial. Yes in Photoshop you can only stroke a path in one brush size (unless you select simulate pressure). Don't confuse paths with layers, the two aren't connected. If you want different areas at different sizes then you'll have to create individual paths for each section. You could stroke all of the paths onto the same layer, but it might be nicer/easier to work with if you create a new layer for each different stroke size.
Hopw that helps

Thanks for the info ... that is what I figured. I have nearly done the vector conversion. So I will post up what I have if you want to look at it and give me pointers. Really time consuming I might add.
