Ah yes, that always was one of my favorite running gags from Season 2, Sonic being a "bad influence" on Nicole. <3 Β Feels like it's been a while since you did a straight-up old-school Sally, but you've not lost your touch for it one bit, that's for sure. Β Every last line of her shows her sassy response to Nicole's back-talk, and that facial expression in particular is just killer. Β Loving your unique new touch on her hair-style and cheek tufts, too; there's a great, animated sense to the way their lines flow that I just adore. Β I do think Nicole's speech bubble looks a bit odd, admittedly; it might've benefitted from being either closer to Nicole itself or perhaps put into a proper, outlined balloon rather than a color-cloud. Β That's a REAL small complaint, though; the rest of the pic is solid gold. ^_^

I loved that they continued that gag in the following episodes and that it was starting to grind on poor Sal. But it was a nice way of cheering her up after losing her father~<3
I really need to draw more Sally in general, especially old school.
I'm always trying different styles with this girl and can never seem to settle on one. She's just too much fun to experiment with.

Agreed on both counts; it not only worked as a joke, it even did a bit to deepen our understanding of Nicole too, and it worked well at providing some levity to an otherwise-somber ending in a very nicely-played fashion. ^w^
It's actually pretty cool to me, the ways you keep finding to experiment with her details while keeping the core look the same, and I certainly enjoy seeing each new spin you put on her. Β Speaks well of the strength of her original design, too, that it can be kept recognizable so easily even with all those little stylistic touches.
And hey, it happens to all of us. Β Believe me, I know. XD
