Description
A tender moment between a trainer and his Seviper.I'd think the more damaged a creature is, the more it would benefit from moments like this.
Also, the fact he's not wearing a shirt doesn't make this an adult picture so relaaaax, 'kay?

Well, 'sharing scars' - the title of the piece - implies that they've both been hurt by other people/pokemon/beings - but where Seviper's scars are physical and obvious to the naked eye, the human's scars are emotional and *not* obvious to the naked eye.
The human relates to his pokemon because it displays outwardly (physical scars) what he feels inwardly (emotional scars). His pokemon letting him touch the scars (which may be sensitive) shows the pokemon trusts him - even though the pokemon itself has been hurt by other people/pokemon/beings.
Seviper's description in pokedex entries often talks about its scars from battle - it strikes me personally that Seviper have to put up with a lot of pain in their lives - not all of it deserved (snakes especially being maligned/feared/treated badly by a lot of human beings).
So, this piece is intended to show two beings - who've had to deal with a lot of pain - able to share a moment of delicate sensitivity with someone who they trust not to hurt them.
From my explanation do you understand better the messages intended by this piece? Or are you still having difficulty with it?

Maybe, but does it mean friendship indication? Or what it means sharing scars?

I suppose it means friendship - a sharing or understanding of another's pain.

I have no clue why, but every time I draw my trainer and his Seviper when it's not in the comic (promo art, concept art, etc), I always gotta draw him either naked or shirtless. Never do I when it's any other Pokemon...
Why is it that Seviper is such a good pokemon to expose your skin by?

Glad to find an image showing Seviper as a sweet Poke'mon rather than something menacing. I love mine, that's for sure.
This is very, truly a warm hearted picture.

I like this picture, it's like there's a bond between humans and pokemon.

As sweet as the moment is, I'm still damn curious why he would be shirtless. I mean really.

I don't see why not. Seviper isn't wearing anything.

Well Seviper is a pokemon and he is a human. Humans normally wear clothes whereas pokemon do not.

I think drawing him without a shirt took down a 'wall' that would have gotten in the way of a tender moment - if you get my meaning.
This picture is about each character being the same (on some level); Including clothes would have only reinforced the differences between the two - which would not have been conducive to the messages contained in this piece.

I think Seviper need cuddles more than most.

Everyone cuddles vulpixes, eevees, flareons, and the likes....
But to cuddle and "share scars" with Seviper like that is... very deep and powerful. I am getting the feeling that these are the scars one can't really see with naked eye. The kinds of scars that are rooted deep within our (=their) hearts and souls.
And that is why I really like the picture. Because it's more than that~ a proof that if you find a friendly soul, it matters not what physical form it resides in

I initially faved you for the funny comic strips, but later, I realized how happy I was that I faved you, when you started posting pictures similar to this one - deep, moving and yet drawn in a happy, carefree way.
It all started with [link] , I think.
I am happy that you draw these pictures. I love to read between the non-existant lines in your pictures.

Thanks; I'm happy you think that I'm still worth watching.
I am probably going to get back into comics sometime in the near future though. Having to deal with some crap that went down earlier in the year put me off of doing comics for a while, but I'm working through that now.

I do sense a dose of sadness and self-loathing (sorry for that term) from this message.
"still worth watching" ? Chin up~ you are DEFINITELY worth watching. Keep making awesome art and keep getting better at it - and also mood-wise.
I wish I knew how to cheer you up :<

It's kinda tricky drawing arms from the side like that - especially at the point where the arm and shoulder meet.

Yeah, I know how it's, but I don't see any problem in his arm.
