Parents: Babs Seed (Adoptive Ma), Twist (Adoptive Mum)

Bio: Hayseed was adopted as a baby by Babs and Twist, who had gotten married a few years before. They moved from Ponyville to Manehatten soon afterwards, since Babs found a better hair salon to work at there.

Hayseed grew up as a perfect Manehatten foal, tough, street-smart, and sassy. Her biggest secret was that she spent most of her free time taking care of a sick mare who lived a few doors down from her home. She cared for the mare for 4 years, before the mare passed away from cancer. CD was devastated, but was surprised to find that the mare put CD in her will. CD inherited a large space of land the mare had intended to make into a park before she fell ill. She also inherited a small oak tree that she grew in her apartment. CD harvested some the seeds from it and planted them in the land space she got, determined to fulfill the late mare's dream of making a park. In the process, she was noticed by the city, and was given an award for her public service in creating a public park. She earned her cutiemark in the process.

Hayseed loves her cousin over in Ponyville, Apple Jewel. She loves her visits there, and ponies find her a nice filly to talk to, so she and her family visit often.

Hayseed can be very stubborn and violent when provoked, but deep down is very sweet and kind.
