Chapter 2 - Truth

--LOKI'S POV--
Her neck was soft and she smelt of flowers and sweet fruit. The smell was beautiful, but it reminded me of my old home... Of Asgard. I held the back of her head not wanting to let go. I inhaled again, the scent tickled something in the back of my mind, like I knew her before. She smelt of Asgard, like the roses I grew up with as a child, with your friends, one friends mother was having another child, I remember she was in danger. Odin took the child away and left her on Midgard in, in a gold sheet. Like the man had written in the letter. I gasped and pulled away her name fully sinking in, (y/n), that was what the mother had called her child as Odin took it away. I looked into her eyes smoothing out her hair, I remembered when I came to Midgard as a teen to look for her, I found her, she was just as I remembered but more beautiful. What was I thinking!? This was wrong! I pulled away and thanked her, helped her up and departed to my temporary quarters.

--READER POV--
After all that he just left? You couldn't believe it! That little playboy-mega-flirt-hotty! Ugh! You stormed to your room and slammed the door fell on your bed and instantly fell asleep.

You woke up in the middle of the night stifling a scream, drenched in a cold sweat. You pulled off the shirt and changed into a tank top and shorts and slowly and quietly leave your room and look into Loki's room and he's fast asleep completely covered with blankets. You look around and sneak into the room, you carefully made it over to the bed and laid on the top of the covers next to him. You hoped he wouldn't notice but then he spoke softly.
"It's not nice to sneak into a man's quarters while he's asleep."
"Well this room is technically mine so, hush it, and I had a bad dream." You felt him look at you so you decided to return the stare, though yours came out more like a glare.
"Why aren't you under the covers, you must be cold," he slowly pulled the covers out from under you and you finish pulling them down and lay under them and you leg bumps against Loki's and you blush.
"L-loki, y-your not wearing any, uh, p-pants." He chuckles and you elbow him in the ribs.
"Ow! Does it really bother you that much?" You nod and cover your face and he sighs. "Fine I'll put pants on, don't look." You nod again and it's silent and you hear the faint rustling of cloth, "okay, you can look." You turn and look at him and you blush because he has pants on but still no shirt and your eyes scan his abdomen looking over his thin yet muscular body and you shake your head and turn back away and he gets in behind you and you feel him turn to face away, you hoped at least, from you. Slowly you finally fell asleep again.

When you woke up the next morning you felt an unusual weight on and around your waist. Slowly you turned and saw Loki next to you.
"Loki! Loki wake up!" You hissed and in reply he hugged you closer to him and you cuddled into his cool but warm chest and he mutter.
"What are you doing dear?"
"Trying to breath and be comfortable since you squished me to your chest." You pouted, and dear? Really?
"Don't act like you don't enjoy this..." He kissed the top of your head in a friendly matter, "trust me, I'd know if you were lying, unless your a really good lier." You looked him square in the eye and kept your tone even.
"I am not enjoying this..." You spoke flatly and Loki blinked. And you smiled. "I got you didn't I?" He mumbled to himself which you knew meant a yes.
"Be warned daughter of Nótt, but if you fool me with my own tricks again, that will be the end of me, and you."
"Daughter if Nótt? Who's that?" He looked at you and frowned.

--LOKI'S POV--
Damn. I let it slip, I let her find out her true mothers name.
"Loki, Nótt's my mother isn't she?" I didn't reply, "ISN'T SHE!?" She yelled at me, I brought the pain back, damn, damn damn damn damn.
"Nótt is the goddess of the night, you were her last, and unexpected child, she couldn't keep you, she was too weak, my mother begged to let her take care of you, but Odin said that you were a disgrace and you had to be disposed of, he didn't believed in killing children so he sent you down to Midgard. I would've helped but I was stupid and foolish and young not even a teen yet, once I was old enough I came down to look for you, you were happy, you were with your family and I couldn't take you away from that." She looked at me with both sadness and happiness in her eyes.
"Who's my father?"
"He is from another planet called Gallifrey, he was a Time Lord, most people know him a The Doctor, any ways he was the tenth of his kind and he was smart and charming and he made his way into your mother's heart but he had to leave... Being a Time Lord he had to travel through time and space help people, saving lives, universes planets everything and anything... He returned once before he disappeared for ever and that night was the night that you were created, he passed onto you some of his genes, you were able to translate different languages with ease, and you have two hearts, and you unlike most humans and only few Asgardians can, you can use your whole brain." Once I had finished this she put her hands to her chest feeling the extra heartbeat.
"Is (y/n) my actual name?!" I shook my head.
"Nótt had not known you long enough to officially name you, but you would be the goddess of time and space itself... You are to be very important, my dear, you just don't realize it yet..." And with that I went into the Midgardian bathroom to bathe myself.
