Description
My little dream came true: from now on I'm a happy owner of the Wacom Bamboo tablet! After doodling for couple hours, I finally decided to draw something, and here it is: my first _ever_ digital drawing.
Luckily, my Bamboo is shipped with a copy of ArtRage3 Pro - a love from first sight (it might be interesting for those seeking traditional touch to digital painting).
This is the interface of the program, a pinned reference, and my drawing. I made it in pencil. It has been a devastating experience honestly: drawing, erasing, drawing, erasing, more light, more shadow... I know it is slightly unfinished in overall contrast, but it was made in one sitting (took 4 hours, yes, I know it's too much), and I decided to leave it this way.
Any comments appreciated.

What's to say . . . it's great! Β First ever digital drawing - quite an achievement.
Hope you don't become a slave to reference, though. Β

Good work with shape and proportion, but the noise is more than my taste. ArtRage brushes tend to do this way if the paper and brushes are not set up with the right options. Nevertheless - superb first work!

As you can see, the drawing is enlarged. I initially started drawing a small skull, and as a result the smallest detail size and the grain size of the canvas correspond as 1 to 1. It could have been overcome if I started drawing it larger: the noise would be of negligible size. Unfortunately, I realized that too late.
Thank you for a valuable comment.

That's a very nice first_ever_digital drawing! I really like the pencil render and for the time you spent on it, it doesn't matter. You kept doing it until it's finished and that's what matter!
For the next one, like you said, try to add more contrast so the volumes and details like the crackles may appear more clearly.

Thanks
Values (comparing levels) - is my weak point. I know that practice makes perfect, but there's always not enough time.

Thanks for the kind words first comment on my first work ^_^
As I said in description, it is ArtRage Pro v3.0. You can select any canvas you like (wall, canvas, paper), adjust its color, grain depth and so on. The media (pencil, charcoal, oil brush, watercolor) - everything lays very naturally depending on the canvas you choose.
