This is stunning.... your colour blending and choice of colour is so magical and serene. I could stare at it all day.... it's just so lovely.
The hair is amazing, your red tones are so vivid and everything is mesmerising like a sparkling sapphire.

Yes, but how did you keep the paint from spreading outside your circle? Just sheer luck or did your pencil line work as a barrier??

A pencil couldn't be a barrier. 
Usually I paint in wet on dry technique, in this technique watercolor is easy to control. And I don't use a lot of water in "dangerous" place.
