My room is silent save for the distant thunder,Even the rain isn't a consistent sound,
Nothing can cool the rage of a mother,
When the child she loves is no where to be found.
And I wait for any word.
I wait for just a sound,
As my fingers grow numb,
And the storm shakes the ground,
I have never felt so….
…..helpless.
