Description
The Nimbus Pattern suffers from a long, elongated history of military quarrels, and not a few heated debates turned firefights. During the Ghost Rift Crusade Warmaster Curnoth's two highest ranking generals, Lord Militant Fyrehart and Lord Militant Cybrele, routinely debated the military strategies used by the Crusade. Fyrehart started his career as a Line Guardsman and stated firmly that any victory would find it's foundations in a hardened corps of Guardsmen while Cybrele was of Noblebirth and had spent a tenure in the Schola and Tempestus Scions and wagered that the true focus should be on the use of tight-knit elite strike-forces of Scions. Fyrehart managed to persuade Magos Cromwell, Forge Master of Forgeworld Albyius, who along with his Forgeworld produces much of the equipment enjoyed by the advanced Scions to produce equipment to better equip the ranks of the Guard. Thus; the Nimbus was born.

The Nimbus is an advanced pattern and it shows it; having many options not available for other line Lasguns. Slanted battery feed for quick ejection, light-weight metal stock, fore-grip for better stability and accuracy, laser sight for better target acquisition, Reflex sight for better aim, a over all shortened frame than the standard Lasgun, and a Wireless Ammo-tracker display linked into the trooper's Helmet. The advancements and complexity of the Lasgun lead to long production times, ultimately dooming the Nimbus to a very low representation; what units do possess the firearm speak out loudly for it's use and claim it to be a wondrous weapon of war.
