Hey there! this is GRIT, a character from the Nintendo DS videogame Advanced Wars.In time Grit became my favourite character, and i was looking to draw a sniper.
Rifle is a Mauser K-98 or at least tries to be. ToT

Since you invite ruthless criticism, I have but one gripe: He's aiming with his left eye from a right-handed stance. If he's left-eye dominant, he should shoot left-handed. But I'm the only person who's ever going to complain about that, so don't take it personally. Speaking of left-handed, his personality profile makes him sound kind of a lot like Sans combined with Clover (aka "the Soul of Justice") and Sans is both left-handed and left-eye dominant. I like the idea of Clover being a left-handed gunslinger so I can reference 'The Left-Handed Gun' (which will only mean anything to people who know Westerns). I've gone off on a tangent, haven't I?
One detail you've added that's a improvement on the original design is that you have his coat's epaulets fastening inward instead of outward. Epaulets almost never fasten outward because there's no real reason for them to do so, yet they're almost always drawn that way. So kudos for being even more authentic in that regard than the "standard-issue."

He could be a hero unit for the Blue Moon if Advanced Wars has hero units just like War groove.

Tbh Grit is a cowboy, he can use whatever he wants. He carried a colt reolver in his jacket in his character art. Which obviously is a american gun. So I am understanding as to why you chose a k98

I really REALLY don't want to nit pik here but I have to speak up. so this is awesome I will say it now but, Grit is from Blue Moon, and although it is never said, Blue Moon is based off Russia so I would see a Mosin Nagant over a Kar98K.
also for reference if anyone wants to know:
Orange Star = Modern US (this one is just a theory)
Blue Moon = EarlyΒ Cold War ERA Russia
Green Earth = Modern Germany
Yellow Comet = WW2 ERA Japan
Black Hole = The Future Of Warfare

My all time favorite and probs one of the best in later games he became more spy looking and badass then just a sniper with a revolver great work.

I'm not so good with grit in game but I love all art with him in it. This is so well made too

Grit is pure Β long range strategy, and if you change characters in the perfect time he's devastating, but of course there are more powerfull OC.
