This picture is actually pretty special. My mom has her Tai Chi class right after I go to piano practice, so I just go with her once I'm done (since the two buildings a fairly close to each other). So my mom was telling the Tai Chi teacher about if he ever needed a dragon drawn for him, I was the one to be asked. Instead, though, he said he wanted a lioness chasing a gazelle, and that he would pay me for doing it. I agreed, and after working on it here and there for the past few weeks, it resulted in this. We gave it to him yesterday and he seemed really happy with it, and asked me if I'd be happy with $40. In my mind I was thinking "holy shi-- fourty bucks?! For a first commission by a fifteen year-old artist that's hardly close to being a professional?" I told him as long as he was fine with the price, then I was too. I wouldn't insist on going lower if he thought that his offer was a fair price. To be honest, though, I was expecting half of that, and I would have been completely fine with it.

But don't worry; if I ever take commissions from here, it wouldn't as high as I'm getting paid for this; lol

Now onto self-critique!.

I didn't really like how the lion turned out; in the picture that I referenced from, the lion's paws were blurry from her running so I had to mostly guess. The gazelle ended up looking quite nice, though. And I did another sketch-trace for them; getting the stucture down with the photo under it, then doing the lineart by following the sketch (without the photo). It's also why the angles are different on them, since they were on different pictures.

And don't ask me how a lion could possibly catch a gazelle without being really, really close, because I've no clue lol; I was just doing what the guy wanted XD
