Description
Yellow Day Lily from my garden.More experimenting with reflections.
Other than the frame and a few small blemish corrections on the background there is no editing to the flower.
Hope you like it.

Thanks Gordon. Glad you like it. Yes, it is one of the Day Lily's from my garden. Don't remember the specific name. I only used Corel to do the frame. I shot the picture using a black cloth for the background and a piece of Plexiglas to make the reflection. This one is my favorite to.

Thanks very much. Glad you like it.
To do this drape a black cloth on a table top and up behind for the backdrop and then lay a piece of plexi-glass over the black cloth on the table. Then place your object on the plexi-glass. It makes a lovely reflection. From Paint Shop Pro, I applied a transparent frame over the photo, and then erased the frame that was covering the petals to make them appear to be on the outside, giving that out of frame look. Have fun.

Thank you very much. It is a great little camera. I have had it for almost 3 years and been totally happy with it. My husband got me a Canon 50D for my birthday last month. A new learning curve with it.

I have had mine since 2006. Do you have the conversion lenses that go with it? There is a wide-converter, a telephoto and a close-up lens that attach with a lens adapter. They really help get the max out of the camera. I use the close-up lens the most.

i am still trying to get my hands on those lenses you are using which over here in the UK are about Β£100.00 each but first i will need the adapter which fits over the lens barrel on my S3 also Β£100.00 due to the current state of the economy
When i had my Fuji Finepix 602 which i got in 2004 i got the adapter and tele-photo lens for it which then allowed me to do street shots close up but then it got damaged two years ago by accident hence why i have the S3 but its more than likely i will move over to a camera which allows me to push my photography further

I did the currency conversion and that is quite a bit more than I paid here. If you are ready to go to the next level in your photography, then I would spend the money on an SLR instead.

when i got my Canon S3 back in 2007 i was debating whether or not to go for that one or a nikon as it would have meant getting a bigger lens saying that i reckon maybe next year or so i will look at maybe getting a DSLR providing the prices come down
