Description The child (Alice Morgan) on the left is a changeling much like Diane, and when her parents found out they abandoned her (They were more survivalists-conspiracy theorists then exiled and transformed Christians-It takes all kinds I guess)

Diane is actually wearing the same rubber skirt from before, now that she has given the shirt to the young nugrrl, you can see that it is actually a tank-dress.

The Old man is one of those who managed to elude the authorities so was never taken in to be chipped. (There are small populations "piscean's " in the Exiles)

The boy on the right is the one from earlier and the Male satyri... well the jury's still out on him.

Note: Up until now I figured squatting was be the hardest thing for a Satyri to do, now that I have actually sketched it out it is merely difficulty.

To be honest, I would have expected squatting to be easier with feet that style.  I tend to squat by putting the weight of my body on my toes, actually; I'm not sure why, it's just something I've always done.

Well originally I hadn't thought about the extra joints so I was stuck trying to figure out how they got off the floor and stuff.

Hello again. More random comments from me trying to fix my DA issues.

In the process I get to look back over at a lot of your stuff, which is fun.

Did you ever consider catching a ghostwriter slave? You give him or her some story ideas, a pretty much finished universe and you pet will finish a story for your beautiful pictures?

Hrm... okay, in no way do I mean any criticism I give to another artist personal, but I like it when people are brutally honest with me and my drawings, so I'll try to do the same.

The faces here are messed up. I'm not quite sure if its because everything looks so very rough with the linework and sketch (It coudl be bumpy paper, it could be using a real pencil as apposed to maybe a mechanical pencil where you could control it more using a nice thin line), or because of the scale you mentioned before, but the faces just look wrong, rough, and messy. I think you have drawing bodies themselves down pretty well, and the digi grade legs are fine (Although it is odd that the kid has the same sized hooves and pretty much the same sized lower legs as the woman squating to talk to him), but... well... I can see some variance in the faces between the old man, the younger man standing, and the kids, but generally all the young females you draw have the same faces, eyes, jaw lines and all that. I see lots of knowledge in the bodies, the muscle structure, and I'd like to see that much effort done with their faces. I could probably cut and paste the faces of most of the young females you've drawn looking towards the viewer and they'd be impossible to tell the difference between.

The bodies have so much more volume to them and shape, and the faces just look like a side note. A happy face. Like 'Okay, I got that part done, now I can do the fun stuff!'.

I'll also say there's something slightly deformed feeling about the faces I've seen in profile. Sometimes it works, and sometimes you go overboard, and I know exactly where it looks weirdest; the foreheads. Right where you draw the line for their forehead in the profiles of the faces you seem to bulge out like you're drawing Quasimotto or the Elephant man. I think if you worked on smoothing that out some, and comparing it to real life profiles of people, you could improve greatly.

Anyway, ignore or digest this comments as you will.

IF I make them too real they stop being anime/manga. Basically it's more a stylistic choice. [link]

I don't think it's the forehead that has you weirded-out but the nose indent.

I use computer printer paper so my sketches are small. My Scanner tends to blow images up to super-size. I don't usually clean up the images unless I'm coloring them.

This would certainly make for an interesting read if it came out as a comic or graphic novel.

On the issue of the big satyr- I'm not entirely sure I like the way his muscles turned out. They look a little strange.

More of a commentary on how this fictional strand effects me emotionally then a question- it's an interesting continuity that hints at a grand story behind it that I'd like to see more of.

DPRagan In reply to Ultimale [2010-04-04 03:41:37 +0000 UTC]

Most of the idea behind it is based on my ideas and Revelations. Final book of the Bible, Nightmare inducing stuff.

I'm well aware of Revelations, but your particular take on it, with transformations, computer chips, etc. seem rather intriguing- a far cry from the usual revelations plot line in some ways.

Revelations is hard to understand as it was based off a prophetic experience and is open to interpretation.
