I love this one with the sun rays and all. You live in a beautiful place.

Fantastic shot, Florian.
You captured a moment of complete tranquility; one that only a natural landscape could offer.
The Holga effect is really nice too.
I wish there was a place like this near my house...

Thanks a lot, Nick!
True words, I spent a few hours out there last week and must say that I felt a sort of temporary peace. Btw, the effect is made with the "Earlybird" filter of Instagram.

It's amazing how popular Instagram has become.
Did you read about it being sold recently for $1 billion? Crazy.
I guess it's a good thing if it causes more people to explore photography.
I have an iphone with a really bad camera, so I've never even considered using a phone before.

That's really crazy, because they don't have any "tangible" values to offer. It's the same with Facebook on the stock exchange...
I once heard someone say that the iPhone (or any other smartphone) is supposed to be the "Polaroid of the 21st century" and that is what I like most about any phoneography: the spontaneous character of the images.

It's funny because Facebook is the company that purchased it for that ridiculous amount of money.
I guess it's more about owning the brand name than the actual services provided.
As of April, Instagram had 30 million registered users, which is hard to believe.
There are still people who think that digital can never replace film, for that very reason (the spontaneous/imperfect nature of film).
Your photos show that you don't need to use a little plastic Holga to get that film look.
Some of these filter effects look completely genuine.

Awesome shot!
I have gotten into Droidgraphy lately too and I found retroCamera to be quite impressive. I do recommend it for some really nice vintage effects

Thanks a lot!
I also have RetroCamera installed on my phone, but I'm not so fond of the image quality. Currently I'm trying out Pixlr-o-matic, seems to be pretty cool - it even has "light leak filters".

Have you tried out the "Full resolution" option in retroCamera's settings? It seems to produce better pictures if you tick that one.

Not yet, maybe I should give it a second chance.

Thank you very much, Richard.
I was amazed how the sunrays came out after editing it with Instagram. Seems as if mobile phone cameras aren't bad at all.
