Description
This is my official entry in the September 2006 MAHQ Franken-Gundam Contest, so it's awesome. I even came up with a great profile for it!Historical Data
On the eve of the 16th Gundam Fight Tournament, a new Mobile Suit force assembles for a terrifying mission: assassinate Gundam Fighters until the colonies abolish the Gundam Fight. After three Gundam Fighters are shot down and two more are killed on the ground, the Colonial Assembly prepares a taskforce to hunt down and destroy this unknown force, believed by some to be remnants of the Devil Gundam Corps. that appeared during the 13th Gundam Fight. A decoy fighter is sent to Earth and his trip is well publicized so as to make an irresistible target.
When the decoy arrives, it is immediately attacked by previously unseen green Mobile Suits bearing machineguns, beam rifles, and rocket launchers. From the transport comes a terrifying sight: Neo-Japan's Rising Gundam as well as a mixed group of Nabusshi, Godarl, and Murphy Mobile Suits. With the Rising Gundam on their side, the colony task force quickly gains the upper hand. Their trump card is lost, however, when a pair of beams from a far-off point pierce the Rising Gundam's cockpit and kill the fighter within. Now with snipers providing cover fire, the green Mobile Suits quickly rally and destroy the international force.
The next day, a televised broadcast is sent throughout the world. A bandaged man standing in front of a trio of the green Mobile Suits begins to speak.
"For too long the colonies have treated Earth as if it were nothing but a playground for their toy Gundams. Their so-called ideal war is nothing like that for the citizens of this world who must watch helplessly as Gundams destroy their homes in battles that are declared legal by the elitist space colonies who don't mind who dies as long it happens outside of their precious space bubbles. Well, this ends now! We, the Earth Liberation Organization, hereby declare the Earth to no longer a plaything for the colonies to violate with their disgusting sport! If the colonies do not comply with our demand to relinquish claims of power over the Earth, we shall force them to leave, starting with the Gundam fighters who support them. To the Gundam fighters, if you lay down your arms, retire from the Gundam fight or join us, then we will not harm you. Oppose us and we will hunt you down like the colonial dogs you are!"
At that, the transmission ended and the colonial council reconvened. Not surprisingly, most colonies, especially those nations whose fighters had been assassinated, favored hunting the group down and exterminating them; only a few minor nations supported giving into the group's demands.
And thus begins the 16th Gundam Fighter, later known as the Terra Partisan Rebellion...
Technical Data
The Partisan is a Mobile Suit secretly developed and built for the Terra Partisans by a small, sympathetic weapons manufacturer on Earth, paid for by Manan Chapman, still grieving over the loss of her husband during the 13th Gundam Fight. Its design is based on mechanic data for Neo-France's Godarl and Neo-Japan's Nabusshi, as well as design elements of the Shining Gundam, salvaged from the Guyana Highlands shortly after the Earth Liberation Organization's formation. Gimnium, the alloy used ot armor Nabusshis, was refined by the English scientists who helped build Manan Chapman's private army of Casshings into Nemonium, a new alloy that was just as strong as Gimnium but much lighter. With this new alloy and refined technology, the Partisan was able to achieve Gundam-level performance even if the pilots would be unable to use Super Moves or martial arts in their fighting.
The Partisan is designed as a general purpose suit to get the most bang for the cash-concious ELO's buck. It has been designed to use a large variety of weapons to fill a number of roles. Machineguns are the most common weapon for Partisans in infantry roles, though bullpups are available for urban combat and beam rifles for when extra power and accuracy are needed. The beam rifles are also useful for sniping when a dedicated sniper is unavailable. Rocket launchers are also available for gunner Partisans. A beam sniper rifle is available to Partisans that are equipped with the sniper visor add-on, but the visor covers the Partisan's standard head vulcans.
An unusual feature (unusual for a mass-produced model at least) is the addition of a Core Lander that is stored behind the Partisan's backpack so that the pilot can eject and fly to safety. The Core Lander was included as a sign to the ELO's soldiers that the brass are concerned about their lives unlike their former colonial overlords.
The Partisan has been shown to be an excellent ground combatant, far exceeding any current mass-production design currently fielded; only Neo-America's Murphy can compete in aerial combat. It is unknown how the Partisan would fare at space combat, as the ELO is not interested in testing it out.

Very nice work Draco. I'm quite fond of the rocket launcher and sniper models.
