the only thing that bothers me is the horizon i find the grey there too distracting , a better idea would be to have it a very pale blue going to nothing at the horizon, the idea is distance is pale going to darker as you get to the foreground , hope that helps!

Painting the apples I was unsure what to do with the background. A simple colour, a landscape, what kind of sky or a background which fits in the "story". At last I wanted a "story". I intended a kind of distraction. Thinking about your comments, a sky more hazy could be an improvement.
