It was a stupid Melynx that stole my map actually lol.Β Ironically at the same time, the monsterΒ I was to hunt was theΒ Gypceros.Β I was away from my 3DS from a bit and when I came back, I only saw a portion of the area around me.Β Took me a long time to find that thing!
Btw, I'd like to hunt together with you if you'd like (of course, if you don't want to, that's fine lol).Β What HR are you? I am around HR 220~ if I remember correctly!

You can actually find your stolen items (from Melynx anyways) in the respective Felyne area of any map. There should be a spot you can search within the area that will allow you to reclaim them.
I don't mind actually. You seem like a nice fellow anyways. If you have a Skype/Steam, it should be easy to set up a date/time to hunt with you if you desire. And yeesh, I'm at HR 136 myself. A whole close to 100 below ya lol.Β

Sorta. The weapon type the hunter is using is called the Insect Glaive, a weapon that makes use of a staff and an insect familiar. The insect helps attack the monster and give buffs to the user, while the staff's use is self-explanatory. A literal beat stick.
