16x20 canvas; acrylic

A commission for a family member of mine of her parents house/ the house she grew up in. She wanted particular memories to be included in the picture. For example, the green chairs, the tree hanging over the house (she planted that tree from an acorn many years ago), and the HUBBARD sign. Overall, this was a good test for me and I believe it turned out pretty good for my first landscape type painting! I learned a new technique with grass and flowers, and learned about painting straight lines. I have figured out I enjoy and do well using the impressionistic style when it comes to landscape. If you have never heard of impressionism, you MUST go look up some paintings!
