That awkward moment when you just came back from being murdered by a swamp witch and wake up and realize that everything is Aphrodite's fault and you try and murder her and end up exploding.

That's when you know you've been watered on.

"You" meaning Icarion, that is.

Water has highly adverse effects on Icarion, which is directly opposed to the idea that he looks human (enough) and lives in a world that water provides life for, while his spirit is of fire, and water is inimical to him.
Water is in everything and in everyone that he loves - and, like Aphrodite, born of the froth of the waves from Ouranos's blood, in quite a few things that hold sway over him as well. Whether he likes or not, it provides an influence on his existence.
Sometimes, enough to kill him.
But for Icarion, death is just a big nuisance. He loses some memories, endures a scolding from his uncle, causes everyone he cares about that's still alive shock and sorrow, and every now and then, has to get a new body.
When things get really dangerous is all the drama comes when he comes back to life.
