Description The giant demon was still running forward, his might gait throwing up debris every time a talon hit the ground. Glory stood, legs spread apart, in fair imitation of stoicism. There was no way she could face this one directly, head on. The massive size itself prevented any of that bravery nonsense. It could break her in two like a twig…

She was very conscious of her duty to protect Audra, which had been laid on her by the witch. This little mortal girl was important in a way that she couldn't quite foresee. And if this was something she had to do to help her friends… to get Loki back, the old one, the fun one… Even if this was the most worthless, brainless task ever, she would just have to suck it up and do it, no matter how much she wanted to twist the girl's neck and toss her into the nearest ocean.

Which mean that she had to find a way to combat this monstrous freak of nature.

Just as she was thinking desperately of this, standing protectively in front of the younger girl, the earth exploded beneath their feet. Iron spikes drove through rocks, and then flesh. There was a stench in the air of metal and blood, though it was amazing that her nose wasn't entirely immune to this sort of thing by now, really. It was amazing what one noticed at a time like this. Like how there was no wind at all and no moisture in the air even though she should be sweating like a pig in the slaughterhouse and all the rocks in the world must make a geodesic dome because each and every one was jutting its pointed end somewhere in her body and how very close she could feel the dirt to her skin and all she could think about was going home, preferably alive, and taking a long hot bath.

She slammed her fists to the ground and fought to make her legs work properly through the violent convulsions that must be coming from this new attack. Yet another layer of dirt and grim – red, but not the same natural color as before, in the desert storm – coated her entire body, clouding her sight and burning the inside of her nostrils.

Glory yelped, and then caught her breath. Sharp pains stabbed at her chest and lungs. "Audra!" She found the girl nearby. Something cold and hard wrapped around her ankle. She didn't dare look to see what it was – probably not a hand, she suspected.

The giant had been decimated, but what had replaced it was so much worse.

She heaved another difficult breath. "Audra!" she yelled. "Go up the mountain!" There was a bit of greenery through the red haze, a glimpse of the tree line ahead, towards the peak. She could hardly see the girl. Maybe every thing was floating above her head, or the sense of proportion was as lackluster in performance as every… She could be swimming for the shooting pains in her chest and ankle. Her head spun. What was under her feet might not be soil, but then again, how was anyone to know?

She gave Audra a hard shove in the right direction – now was no time for sweet and gentle lovingkindness – just as her whole world began to shake again. With the girl out of the way, she could focus on the real problem. Survival, naturally. But she couldn't even reach up to wipe the dirt from her eyes and hard scaled tentacles as cold as a rush of northerly wind wrapped around her torso so that she could hardly breath, much less cry out. She could not have been more light headed if she'd been given a lobotomy. Goosebumps broke out across every inch of bare flesh.

The sedative in the monster's venom took swift effect, despite the young woman's thrashing. She lapsed into unconsciousness without further protest, tensed muscles falling limp.

We did stick her with Loki and, even if she gets past that, there is that kiss scene that will never be forgiven.
Probably worse than Freddy. And we'll wake up alive and have to repeat the nightmare.

Maybe we can convince Ari to side with us. I mean, he has a happy ending in the end...And not a bad beginning either, it's just the middle parts get a bit messy.
Yeech. *shudders*

I'm not sure we could convince Dove, though. I gave her a pretty bad beginning. I'm working on a one-shot of it now.

True.... I'm curiosity to hear more about it, though!

Almost done. I've had to revise it three times, unfortunately. But I'm finally growing satisfied with it.

Well, good luck! I'm sure it'll turn out great.

Horray! But if our charries escaped from our minds, wouldn't they know how to decode our morse code?

....Yeeeeaaaahhh...
That might be a little bit of a problem, I think.

Maybe by that point we'll be so insane that we won't even make sense to ourselves, much less them?

That's very possible. With Delilah's help, we'll probably be completely out of our minds a few hours after we are admitted. Not gonna be fun. Not at all.

Does she hate us too? I forget. (Probably does, though. Meh.)

Well.... I guess we'll develop very fascinating dream lives. (Like Freddy Kreuger interesting, though, unfortunately. >.>)

.... I think I understand why our charries hate our guts. We're just too cruel.

(Really? An English teacher who hates reading? That's just plain sad...)
I'd rather lose a few points than give presentations, that's for sure.

(There's so much more variety here than on PI. )

Yes. Yes, we are.
I just know they're waiting for us to go completely insane so they can sneak into the real world and torture us and get their oh-so-sweet revenge.

Yeah... She used to be a math teacher. I have no idea how that happened, but I'm trying not to think about it. *shudders*

That future is far too plausible for my liking. @_@ I'm really not looking forward to being put in the Loony Bin. My RL friends are already planning my institutionalization. (<- Big word of the day!)

Math teachers should never turn into english teachers. It proves they have no passion for the trade... -_-

I'm sure they'll put our padded rooms close together and we can scream morse code messages to each other whenever we're not having visions of paranoia.

No, they shouldn't.

The one you don't know anything about yet, besides the fact it's in no shape or form good for Loki. And that she'll ask Glory for indirect help.

Why were you worried? >)

Ah. THAT one. Nice....
Glory might be so enthusiastic about helping out that she barges in a ruins everything, knowing her.

It just sounded ominous for some reason. "Cite." Scary word, that.

Oh, Glory. Her excitement might get her into big trouble in the future. No doubt it will with Ice.

I understand. I lose points on almost every English project for not citing my sources correctly, even though I'm using the computer citation maker she pointed out to the class.

Dreamsickdev In reply to boo1515 [2011-02-19 19:28:24 +0000 UTC]

Definitely!
...Especially if Del's scheme is going on at the same time that Glory's disastrous scheme with Ice involving Loki is going on.

Ouch. My English teacher doesn't make us do that, but then again, she hates reading essays. (Or, just reading. Ugh. That woman!) Instead we have to do oral and visual presentations in front of the entire class in the auditorium.

(....These emotes are fun.)

Poor, poor Glory... Naughty tentacles don't sound very fun, in my opinion.

How do you do the little picture citation in the Description, friendy? <3

Dreamsickdev In reply to boo1515 [2011-02-16 23:18:09 +0000 UTC]

Yeah, poor Glor. >.> She's going to revenge herself majorly on Loki during Freshmeat for putting her through all of this crap. (Which reminds me, I've got to get back to that, too, along with everything else... GAH!) I'm thinking she might find a way out of it, but I'm too lazy to write it up, so it'll probably happen off-screen.

DA is funny about that sort of stuff, it's way different than PI's HTML style. Like the picture for the users is :*iconusername*: Without the asterisks. Like for your account, it would be :*iconboo1515*: and for mine, it would be :*icondreamsickdev*:

Loki is the person to go after. He has it coming. ( *pats back* It's okay. I just tell myself that free time is overrated anyway.)

Okay! Thanks. I want to be able to cite you correctly.

Dreamsickdev In reply to boo1515 [2011-02-17 01:05:24 +0000 UTC]

I would say poor Loki, but... Well... I can't really say that, now, can I?
I think first she's going to take over his house while he's recovering from bringing Delilah back to life... and then invade his closet... and maybe even convince Ari to set a few strategic fires.... *plots ebilly*

You're welcome! (Should I be worried? ^_-)

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

boo1515 In reply to Dreamsickdev [2011-02-17 02:23:44 +0000 UTC]

Nope. Loki has lost the privilege of being poor. Lol

It sounds like she'll be even more willing to go along with Delilah's scheme. >)

Considering my crappy skills, yes. I will probably maim your characters in my art and writing.

Utterly and completely! XD

Hmm... Which one is this again? I want to say that I remember, but I get all the schemes confused. (I think we're up to a scheme per character, at least. If not more. 0_o)

Oh, that's all. (I've done crappier. And I still can't get Del's face right. T_T) I was worried for a second there.
