Description
Portrait of HafsaThe stone was from Morpheus’s realm, carved from a piece of one of the gates - so not actually a stone - and imbued with the dreams of the phoenix.
Since Hafsa’s soul took on a lot of damage from her servitude to Demiurgus, as well as more recently what the Egyptian gods did to her - and since El is also weak and in the process of reincarnating - this helps channel their bond and allows them to walk in dreams together, as they did in previous lives. Though it was only when Icarion and Hafsa met in their most recent incarnations that they both realized that their bond allowed them to affect each other’s dreams, and that these were true visions, not just imaginings or memories.
Hafsa won this after facing Morpheus’s daughter, Morpheus himself, then her own dream self, and then the Firebird, in a deep sleep. When she woke up, she had the stone. She has worn it constantly since.
Their connect of course is not reliable, and requires concentration or desperation. But in times of great need, Hafsa can ask El for help, even when she is basically just a phoenix egg.
