Description
1) Cake mix!! (I forgot to butter the bowl because I am stupid.

2) Thankfully, it slid free pretty easily.

3) Slicing the cake open so I can add a filling layer. Rainbows galore!

4) Modelling the head and limbs out of rice krispie treats. Tear of a chunk of slightly-warm krispies and dip it in icing to stop it sticking and make it easier to work with. I gave mine turtle a tail, which it doesn't actually have

5) Crumb layer.

6) Fondant coating, in 3 parts; the head, the neck & everything else. The seam between the head & neck was smoothed over using a little vodka, and the neck/body seam hidden in the final stage.
