Description
I just can't imagine if Ferry thought at least once that those graphite lines drawn on the paper, could transform into a world wide phenomenom that have transcended time, distances, beliefs, classes and different point of views.A three-numbered spark that united many and many of us under its name, from the road thrillers to the track diggers. From the innocent and nimble to the fiery and wild. Playing a more than successful role on the adrenaline orders of many, and still gentle enough to give you a ride home like nothing had happenned.
A confidence that took it into the hearts of many; on the streets, on the tracks. But of course it was never easy, the first steps are always rough. Rough, but not uncertain.
I believe that Ferdinand may have never concieved that those lines would become an Icon, a cultural phenomenom, but most of all an undeniable symbol of performance. Time has passed since the little ¨Boxer¨ came over to fight for the tittle, and now is one of the most watched rivals from the windows of the Italian Stallion's houses.
A successful recipe that just get better with time, just like the best whiskey. A shape that time cannot bend, cut or slice; a shape that we won't get tired about in a long time.
As I said I can't imagine if he at least thought all of this, but a bet you he had a good hunch about it. Look were we're now.
Not knowing that all of this may happen, Ferry turned the lines into shapes anyway.
A Legend was born.
Thanks a lot for such a legacy Ferdinand.

Each time I take a look at this picture I get blasted. The picture itself reveal the main history of the 911. Minor changes each generations and models.. this is just fabulous. Porsche can be very proud to be able to keep this tradition over years. Congrats

Thanks my friend, its amazing for me how many years have passed and the same silhouette has became a signature of Porsche. Not changing that good old recipe.

A gorgeus ride indeed, it is beautiful from any angle. You're a real lucky man I must say, not many mortals (including me hehehe) have such joy of driving it and less of course having it hahahaha. Congratulations! and take good care of her. Maybe I can give you small surprise in the future.
By the way I saw your gallery, you've got the skills man. Keep doing such a good work.
Cheers my friend.

I hope so too hehehehe, being honest I'm a japanese car fan since chilhood. But I've always liked any kind of car, and porsche has always been there in my heart and my mind since my childhood too.
By now I have a Fiat Palio wagon and I'm really happy with it. She takes anywhere without complaining, she may not be the most sexy, the fastest or the most classy; but She's my baby so what can I say.
Cheers dude.

Real thanks man, I knew you were going to like it a lot. This is the first poster intended one, but it is going to be like a presentation card also. Is going to be put in my office when it's done, now is being put in a frame (it ended up with 120 cm width, 61,5 cm length) ity is going to look real good. And well happy holydays hehehe, here we call things like that a ¨puente¨, a ¨bridge¨ literally speaking. Because as a bridge makes you pass from a to b over a river, a canyon, etc, people then goes in vacation from friday to tuesday, wednesday, etc. Even someday passing over labor days, there is the ¨puente¨ indeed.
Cheeers my friend and thanks again.

It's an awesome image Daniel. If I had to find one thing to consider, the first image (60-70) would have lasted up to 1973, with the second (having the 5 mph impact bumpers) at least in North America beginning in 1974 (although those mirrors may have been only '75 or '76, I would have to look that up), so I believe the second image should read 70-80ies. Aside from that it's pure awesomeness

Totally correct! deciding what cars of what eras should I portrait was quite hard I must say, and making them to show the classical 911 shape with their distinctive characteristics and different specifications was harder indeed hehe. The original 911 and the 930 both share that 70's decade so I had the same knot in my mind, so what I found as a solution to get out of my ¨mental predicament¨ was the impact they had on each era. Of course it was according to my personal opinion; the 911 had a number of versions all along until the mid 70's that made it really popular in and out the track, holding its boom until the end. But the 930 although knowing that it came out on mid-late 70's, I thought it had its real Iconic boom on the 80's. Most of it with the Turbos and the Targas it became a symbol of the era always rivaling with the ferrari 328 gts, it was a Malibu beach-Beverlly hills permanent resident at that time. But you're totally right, if I should portrait it according to the right production time that number should be there.
You don't miss one ha,ha,ha.
Cheers my friend.

Explained in that light, I now understand
My favorite 911 to own (because of my limited funds) is the narrow body SC, made from '78 to '83; known as the "bullet-proof" Porsche because of the indefatigable 3.0 litre. It's far from the fastest or best handling of the 911s, but for someone who wants to be able to work on their own car, it's simpler to maintain than the later 3.2, and much less prone to rust than the earlier (pre-galvanized) 911s. Those mirrors say "911SC" to me, even though they were also on the 930, Carrera and 964. If I were to win the lottery, then definitely a 930, or, if I could find one in my budget, a 934!

Well _I think doesn't matter that much in the end dude, you have one that's all that matter for me hahahaha. But you're right on that too, the 911 narrow body was if not the most one of the most popular porsches ever sold to the public (for me). And many as far as I know were the carrera SC versions. Maybe I'm wrong on that. As I told you before I'm a japanese car fan since childhood, but on my dreamed garage I would put it like this (5 cars): 1. Honda NSX Type R '92, 2. Datzun (Nissan) 240Z or ZG '73 (long nose american version), 3. Fiat Dino '68, 4. Porsche 911 Turbo '86 (930) and finally 5. Porsche 944 Turbo '86-'88. Of course on an alternate universe were I'm rich hahahahaha.
Cheers my friend.

I like the choices, and agree with them somewhat
If I "only" could have 5 places though, the first three would be replaced by a 1997 993 Turbo S (or RS clone), a 1988 924S, and a 917K clone with a 3.8 litre 993 engine (I would want to drive it; I don't think I could bring myself to "do things" to a real 917 and the clones are really good). If I could get ten places, the the NSX and the Fairlady would certainly have their places, but if I had to have a Ferrari I would go for a 250 GTO. I would also add a '63 or '64 Impala SS coupe, a '63 Vette, and a '57 Chevy Nomad. If money were no object, I would also have an Austin Martin DB5.

Well your garage is no less than impressive and magnificent my friend. My goodness, 917 clones? Where and how is that possible? That's a new story I didn't know for sure, but sounds pretty interesting. It was way out from my knowledge data and I knew about GT40's and Shelby's replicas before the had been done since long ago now, I even knew about ferrari 330 p4 replicas but never a 917. It's interesting you mention the 924S, I took a look in a book I had here and wouldn't it be a 944S? But anyway now that you mention it I also have plans for drawing both cars,a 924 Turbo street/Racing split match up drawing and a 944 with graphical arrangements and other details. A new poster like graphic techniques I'm trying and would be seen on the current project when its done, a Mercedes-Benz 280S '71 from a close friend.
Cheers Martin

Here is one manufacturer: [link]
There is another based in the US but I can't remember the name. The 924, designed for and rejected by Audi, was built from 1976 to 1985. The 924S was produced from 1986 to 1988, and was basically a narrow 924 body with the engine from the 944. The 1988 924S had better performance than the stock 1988 944 because of its more aerodynamic body and lower weight.
I'll keep an eye out for those

Thanks a lot my friend, this time is more than encouraging. As I said a deviation ago, I'm full into this now and I wanna apologize a bit for the huge delay. Brand and registration formalities have taken more time than what I had expected and looking for a place to put my stuff and rise up my art studio have also done it too. Just me and my art hehe but you gotta get some guts if your wanna live your life doing what you like to do. Thank god I found a place, but I'm still on the talk to find a reasonable price. But well this one is going to be like my personal card for now. I really put my heart into this, testing new things, erasing a going back to the previous step but most of all paying special atention to all the details. Sadly (and in some way lucky) DA just show not so much detail thanks to the low res, but on the real one the Porsche logo on the rear brake is clearly visible, the scratches on the brake discs or the carbon fiber vents on the rear are well define too.
Muito obrigado my friend and again sorry the delay hehe.
