I’m alive?!
I finally got some time to myself and think I figured out a feasible way for me to do digital art so… hello again, friends!
I know tools aren’t supposed to make the artist but two things absolutely changed the game for me. Firstly, Sketchbook went free. I love using layers and now I can have unlimited layers! (And oh, so many brushes and textures I didn’t even know I needed in my life ) Secondly, I discovered Astropad. It’s probably nothing compared to an actual tablet but it’s a free app that makes your phone a tablet. Using this is like four times as fast as using my trackpad.
I'd done this on paper and initially only meant to add in the glowy blue bits digitally and never thought I would post it anywhere. But I had so much fun I kinda just colored it all in? And was actually kinda proud with the result? I used to experience varying levels of satisfaction/happiness but pride was just not something I ever really felt with my old digital art. My approach was constantly changing but it looked stiff no matter what I did. I finally found something that works for me
I probably won’t ever be as active as I used to be (thAnKS aDuLtHoOD) but I think I’m kinda back?
