UGHH!I feel like every other deviation I do turns out so STUPID.
But I was doing this at FIVE O'CLOCK IN THE MORNING SO... I'M POSTING IT!!
I don't know if you've seen the Bruce Wayne ads for Armani ( aminddivideddotcom.files.wordp… ) but, I found one as I was looking for a picture of an Armani suit for a drawing I was doing and I just HAD to do one for Artemis.
I MIGHT redo Artemis' MESSED up face... later. If I feel like even touching that fail of a picture again
It's depressing to look at... Well, his FACE is. I'm pretty happy with just about everything else.
SOOOOO........ yeah,
Criticism is welcome (in fact, it's ENCOURAGED) but if it's about poor Arty's face...

UPDATE: I HAVE IMPROVED UPON HIS FACE!!!!! MUAHAHA!
It still isn't perfect (FAR from it) but, I'm happier with it than I was before. I think I'll leave it like this.

Looks coolio! I especially love the eye coloring. To me, the hazel looks so natural, and the blue just looks so electric- just like Colfer describes!

I can understand that "just for the concept" feeling, as another artist.
I think it turned out well though, especially for a computer drawing! Usually,
unless you're really good with tablets, it's super hard to draw on the computer.
(I have a tablet, but sometimes it just is a pain to work with.)

them on paper first to get them the way I want. xD

I ALWAYS try to practice my eyes on paper.

Awesomesauce! Practice makes perfect!
One little tip (just something I use), as silly
as it may sound, is to pay attention to people's
eyes, particularly when they're talking. Just to
look for good angles and such, you know?
(Not that you need it. I'm sure in time if you focus
really well you'll be drawing oober realistic eyes. xD)

You know what I currently do?
I stand in front of a mirror and pose like how I want to draw and just stare at myself.
Sounds weird but it works! I look at my clothes wrinkles, how I am positioned, my expression. And I MEMORIZE it... and later I draw it.
But, mostly just on paper. For drawing on the computer I'll look at my hands and stuff, or previous drawings.
But, I'll DEFINITELY do that eyes thing.

And dude, that's an awesome method! I normally just
take pictures of myself, but that's so much different
than getting a "looking from your eyes" kind of view!
That's awesome!
Might even need to borrow that method sometime if
you don't mind.....
And agreed on the computer thing. I mostly go off of
precious drawings for those too.
