Description In the desert
There is no one
The mounds of sand,
The dunes, surpass all vision.
A lone sidewinder track
Leads to an oasis;
The clear water
Is all but gone
And the plants
They lean to the puddle
Hoping for one last sip,
One last sip
Before the desert swallows them too,
Before it swallows me, too

A tomb of heat blasted sand
Awaits me in this land
And I have not
But this puddle of wet silt,
Burnt skin and an undying hunger
I'll not be here long,
The plants not much longer
Wet silt and an undying hunger

I hunger for you

In the desert
I wait for you
And there in the jungle
I wonder
Do you wait for me too?
You have so much water
And yet, I have none
The sky is darker
The rain, only begun
Our time has come

I hunger for you

Hmmm... And what is the moral of this one?
"Do not walk out into the desert - without a flask of water?" JK
Nice imagery.

I read of...a lonely, barren wasteland, of no hope of life for the living. Deep.

Wow I reall like this piece! "Before the desert swallows them too, / Before it swallows me, too" this is my fav part ... just how you used swallows, i never thought of a desert as swallowing things, but now that you have used it, it's all i picture! good job!
