Description I have a friend
He didn't know himself
He didn't know himself
But he loved someone else

His rose
With the raindrops
Falling from it's petals
The thorns prickled
Alert and severe
Razor sharp
And the leaves
A deep green
Emerald in a forest
Jade in the night

And as the twilight comes
As the night approaches
The colors fade
Become dull
The wind comes
To awaken
But takes a few petals
They drift listlessly
alone in the dark
away, and are forgotten

I think the rose
Is afraid of the sun
Stay in the cold
Nocturnal impulse
Imagine the void

The sun cannot hear
Too sure
Of the joy it can spread
I see the leaves
They have softened
The light's absence
Was missed
But not wanted

With the sun's next turn
I look again
The rose is gone
A drop of blood
Still on the stub
Of the once-stem
There are no leaves
No new buds

Oh, come again
Dear night
Dear rain
Dear sun
The rose so dear
Is ne'er again
The rose is gone
My dearest friend

Water it's roots
Let it soak in
Let it grow with your care
More beautiful
The first is gone
but it can come again
Water it's roots
Love will come
Try again
