Take a picture if you wishI will not strike a pose
Cause ev'ryday you look at it
I'm wearing the same clothes
I'll have the same old attitude
The same old kind of stance
Cause once you push the button
There is no second chance
There's a fake smile just for you
I grit my teeth and "cheese"
And then I give a natural one
Because you asked me "please"
You drag another person in
So that I'm not alone
Bunny fingers on my head?
Of course I didn't know!
You know I'm only doing this
Because I am your friend
Then somehow I get out of it
It was a gift God sent!
But when a week or two has passed
I start to realize
I wasn't really your friend
At least not through your eyes
So now I wish I could go back
And let you take the pic
So that with you I could have had
At least one happy moment
For now we'll never get that chance
I wasted a memory
For if I look by happenstance
There'll be no smile of me
