in one of my more recent sessions, i had one off my players characters die a heroic death, holding a portal away from a dangerous undead being so that his family and wife could escape, but was killed while keeping it open. this character, Skoll Stonefang, played dndviking , had ended up marrying another character, Etziah played by fel , and had three kids together (would be 5, but another villain killed two of their unborn children, before Etziah realized she was pregnant. i am an evil DM). so in honor of the original Gnoll Hero, i wanted to give these two one final embrace. and now im sad.
