Danielle? Aww, that's pretty You know, I've never really been into nicknames, not with people at least... and I'm not really sure why that is. There's only a tiny handful of people I've ever used a nickname with out of all the people I've known and met. Again, I'm really not sure why, but most of the time a proper name comes out of my mouth. Denielle, I like that though Quite lovely! My name is Charles ^.^ I think it's kind of a common name, at least here in the states it seems to be, but I like it

And, funnily enough, I'm not at all against people using nicknames for me, I've heard a fair few so far

Oh, no problem, I just find "miss" a little too general, is all.

I have always thought that nicknames are actually a way of sparing some typing/writing/speaking. Or just a way of showing affection, like when there's only one person calling you in a specific way, it's something special between you two and shows you're close.
I'm glad you think it's lovely because I don't like it much
Charles is very nice. I actually don't mind calling you that way but if you have a favourite nickname, something that sounds nice to you, I'd love to know

Ooooh, really? Well, I'm sorry.... miss XD!!!! Hehe, sorry again, just poking fun! I've always used miss or ma'am formally, for the most part, but it's also more to me... I really don't think that women get enough respect these days and I try to show mine in small ways. And, of course, I'm also just an affectionate person I've always liked using 'miss'

Nicknames do do that, they're fitting and there's really not much, if anything, negative about them... but I've just always had a thing about using someone's proper name when talking to them or referring to them. I call all my siblings by their full names and have called most all of my friends by their full names, some people here and there a nickname or pet name was far more sensible and comfortable. I agree with you completely... it does help to express a special connection and to show varying degrees of intimacy

Awww , well you're quite welcome and I do find it quite lovely and it's definitely not a common name around here (I've only ever known of one Danielle), which makes it that much more beautiful. More than that though, it's *your* name... it belongs to you and you're such a wonderful lady... That's what makes it truly gorgeous

I'm glad *you* think so, I've always been rather fond of it (one of the few things I like about myself) and I'm even vaguely and absurdly proud of my name Personally, I think that it should be up to you, as to what you want to call me... I've never been a very picky person when it comes to most anything- to my mind, anyone can call me anything, so long as its not out of spite. I've had a lot of the years... Chuck, Charlie, Chucky, Chaz, Chuckles (not sure where THAT came from XD), Pineapple (I let it slip once that I lived in Hawaii for 3 years... couple that with brown skin and they started asking if I were Hawaiian... eventually called me Pineapple XD Weirdos)... there's also the standard Charles or George or, quite often, just my last name, Kerr (pronounced 'roperly' as the Scottish 'Care' or otherwise as 'Cur' or 'Kurr'.

As far as a favorite goes, I really don't know... for me, it's more about whom it is coming from rather than what is being said. Again, I leave it to your discretion
