i just find a cool background on texture sites.. add them to the image and change colors/settings of the texture!

Nice pic, we just watched the new TMNT for the first time (Hans, Fricke, John-Mark and me) and were pretty disappointed. Of course nothing could beat the live-action movies!

Yea the scratchy brush works well for you, adds a bit more visual texture.
Im really likeing your pallet choices as well seems like you have a good idea going on there which is reflecting your style.
Prolly the only crit I can give is remember everything gives off a shadow so remember some areas will be the darkest tone.
This will just give your paintings that bit more depth.

haha just remember your light source and imagine in your head what areas of the form would be blocking the light out on other parts. Here this link might help.
