Description
This was PAINFUL to get through. I started with curved lights, varied the size, and had consistent problems with shadows that were far too sharp across the face.... backed out, went to some wide angle spots, still hated it, and in the end went back to some ABSOLUTELY HUGE mesh lights. I might get slightly better results from pulling the mesh lights down in size again, but I don't really want to commit to that render time.
The car was textured using entirely Reality / LuxRender materials (except the image map for the tire.) The body is silver with a polish of 9800, the wheels are chrome, polish of 9500, the seats use a glossy material (Diffuse 30/30/30, specular 55/55/55) with a glossiness of 6500.... you get the idea.
Scene contains 3 mesh lights (Callad's lights) scaled to 300%, and 1 curved light (functioning as a rim light.) Total render time was 10 hours, render quality was 1.5 kS/P.
Daz Studio 4.6 - > Reality 2.5 -> LuxRender 1.2
